Auditioning possible fabrics for my next project.
This is an exhibition piece under the title of "Making connections '
I printed four 3" x 5" images of a tidal pool and added a piece of strip piecing to each one and sewed them together in a spiral configuration.
I am in the process of machining the base fabric to a Calico backing.
Done of this stitching will be overlaid at a later stage by applique but I wanted some texture and pattern underneath.
The symbols I have used represent policy changes and "U" turns .
This piece will be about the policies introduced during the premiership of Margaret Thatcher

i draw a lot of flowers in my sketch book
or on random computer paper
but whenever i end up using a certain drawing
i always have to tear it out...
otherwise i get side tracked looking at all the others.

More work on Uriah - I haven't done his backpack because I think I'm going to sculpt more fur in its place. Posting for final feedback otherwise with the exception of the fur/backpack question he's done.
A little closer shot of the front of the new clubhouse in Jasper, Texas. Since the Pine Country Gem & Mineral Society is one I was not too familiar with, I decided to travel there to get a first hand look at their club and meet with some of the club's officers who were very friendly and cooperative in helping me to develop my report to the SCFMS on their fine club.
Tyranid Carnifex currently in progress. A Imperial barrel and tank tread are glued to the base along with pieces of cork to place the Carnifex above the rubble, in progress.
