I grabbed stashed and recycled papers, envelopes and other ephemera to fill up the book. Since the binding clips open and close, I can always move things around, flip pages or add new materials.

Commission - work in progress

For a small Church in Atmore AL

Toe-up two at a time socks on magic loop. I have about an inch to go before I start increasing for the heel.

I'm roughly following this pattern that came with the yarn, but backwards.

A work in progress...

I've been working on the layout for my bee quilt... I'm going to make three super sized scrappy star blocks for the centre :)

First try. Very nice horn, but the inside was to difficult to get the paper in so it has color. Wings are awesome.

Swallows - pillow cover in progress

Work in progress.

New WIP. Lucinda is a bad girl who does not play nice with her toysbut her face is so innocent. She is polymer clay painted with acrylics.

Close-up of hand-sewn eyelets

finally stopped talking about sewing and started sewing. i always make a mess while i am working, but i accidentally find a lot of good color/fabric combinations that way.

Not really attempting to capture the actual colors of this one, but going for something a bit more period. This, for those of you who are particularly nerdy, is where Amy Pond was running when Canton Everett III chased her in Dr Who...

Prove spettacoli - marzo 2014

Sick of this yet? Again, just two more colors. I'm glazing the colors, in much a similar way a painter goes about layering colors in slowly.

I've gone over the fruit with Crimson Red. I run right over highlights with the red, with the full intention of bringing those back later. It softens the intensity of the white, and creates new colors like the subtle pinks in each highlight.

The shadows I go over with Tuscan Red. Tuscan Red is one of the great colors for enlivening shadows from simple black.

Right... here is the disc ring - now named the brazier.

The plan is, to LOS the inside of the disc and then engrave curls like on my bracelet www.etsy.com/listing/41121324/bracelet-of-the-fey-silver-...

The curls rising above it will be silvery, partly polished, as will the top part of all the settings for the small sapphires. However, now for the last big desicion: Where to put the individual tube settings?

I have taken 8 pictures of different constellations - or rather: they aren't terribly different. Now you get until 13:30 CET to help me decide which go where. Have fun :-)

I'm worried there's too much white space in here. I'm planning on two colored borders around this, so hopefully the cheerful color will outweigh the white.

Blogged about here

I snapped this work in progress with my cell phone thismorning. I like the light that was coming thru the window. It's almost an impressionist feeling. It's inspiring. Makes me want to take it in a whole new direction.
