30 kitties, bunnies and puppies means 60 little ears and 60 little arms need to be sewn, turned and pressed... not that I'm counting, the last thing you want to do is start counting when your space is this repetitious...

Blogged 19 November 2009.

This shows almost the entire table as it is right now. The theme of this mural is "life".

Since this is my own dining room table and something I'm painting just for me, I am only working on this when I don't have other paintings or gourds to get finished. This is why it is taking me so long to finish it.

It is a project that helps me to relax. Turn on some great music and paint the night away. :)

You can see the begining of this table further in under my Misc. folder here.

As a paint a large canvas I clean my palette knife on the paper and create mini works of art. This will serve as background for a new creation

Work in Progress - I needle felt a border around the bunch of flowers, One side of the purse is sewn to the metal handle, the other is not. I had to stitched blanket-stitch to the sides to hold them 'flat' before I could insert the felt into the gap of metal handle for stitching.

voila! is done

THANK YOU A MILLION TIMES KATIE AND BRIAN FOR OUR CAMERA!

YOU MAKE LIFE A CREATIVE JOY!

Wait... it's not red? Nope, there are enough red dragons; I probably have a dozen in the box this guy came out of.

Lots of time invested already and not a lot to show for it. I based the model in Bleached Bone and applied a washe of Vallejo Imperial Blue. I then drybrushed the model heavily in Codex Gray, then lightly in white, before doing a 4:1 blue:black wash. This will give me the basis for the bulk of the highlights. As I really get to work I'll come back these photos to help.

I'm still not sure at this point if he'll be blue with a white belly or white with a blue belly. I'm thinking the previous.

As with most minis I'm starting in on his face. I have done the first round on his eyes, bone and the frills on his face. I'll go back over the frills with a wash, highlight the bone (4 layers and a wash on there now), and then decide on the final colouring for this guy.

MIRANDOLA - DUOMO - PARTICOLARE

Viste migliaia di volte, le decorazioni in cotto appaiono ora, nello squallore del disastro, ancor più belle e preziose.
