This helicopter appeared over our little village earlier tonight and hovered for a few minutes just a short distance away from my house.
Lots of locals came out to see what was going on.
It returned after about 5 mins whereupon all the locals emerged once again.
This time the jungle drums had been at work and now we knew that someone had fallen. I saw someone winched down to the house below so when it flew off again, I went down the road to wait.
Because technology has made it so much easier to bring the office into your home, it has been hard for some professionals to dictate work vs. home time. The home has transformed into a mix of both and it can be hard to decide where the line should be drawn.
This comic has been my stone in the road since I started working as a freelance designer/ comic letterer almost 3 years ago.
This is "Lamu" (aka Urusei Yatsura) and yesterday I finished the number 14 (of 15!). It has taken me a particular loooong time, more than other numbers but I'm happy when I get to adapt this kind of things. It took me almost 2 days to finish these 3 pages but they look pretty good I think. ^_^
Anyway, this is for all of you who are waiting for some trades. I'll be sewing and doing crochett like crazy this weekend so I hope to have some ready to ship on monday. Yaaay!!
I really needed some free days off work. ^________^
Right: Original japanese version. Left: Adapted version.
This is a long exposure shot I took just over a year ago, completely forgot I had this.
The door at the bottom gives a sense of size to these things.

Some manner of stew with daikon, tofu, and unidentified bits of some unidentified animal. They tasted okay, but I know I would have been turned off had I asked what part of the animal they were.

Someone taking in the last warming rays of the sun on a beautiful crisp fall day...
See where this picture was taken. [?]
This old bridge head also happens to be my new favorite reading spot!
Well... maybe more so next spring... :)
view from the window at work. Below you can see 3 electric trolley busses lined up along Lambton Quay, the yellow one being the newest. The construction happening is going to be the new Supreme Court, to the right is what I think was the old court house, which is also being restored. At the bottom right is the SyBase building. Beyond the construction is an old government building, which is now part of Victoria University. Behind that, barely visible is the Train station.
