This barn/garage serves as Work-n-Ranch's showroom and storage area for the wide variety of western and period clothing they sell. Becky and I spent some time there this afternoon shopping for pieces to put together Steampunk costumes to wear at conventions.

Attimi rubati alle riprese di "Le voci del Tanaro"

One of the first sets that I worked on...

It was a collaboration piece for a painter that we knew; a friend of mine arranged the work and sprayed the clear and flames (which he also layed out) as well as some of the airbrush work.

The face is a color image of a pencil and charcoal work that I did for this project. It in turn was a combination of several paintings and old photos.

I was pleased with the results despite the frustrations like my tendency to lay color on too quickly and heavily...

The photos were taken by a friend of mine in the days before I had a decent camera.

will make the eyelids less shiney by applying some msc :) waiting for feedback from the customer...

My Vauxhall is broke, heard a slight thumping, then banging and I turned engine off when I saw smoke!! I was not even going anywhere - sat on standby!

A small factory on the outskirts of Fez in Portugal produces striking ceramic pieces. Most of the objects are made and decorated by hand by artisans like this young woman. Conditions are modest to say the least, an inverted Coca Cola crate serves as table legs and a couple of bricks as footrests. The products are beautiful.

Work started this morning on the disused fuel tanks at the garage. This afternoon, the coverings on the old lumps had been removed with no pumps in evidence. It looks as if they may be degassing the tanks and sealing them.

work. work. work. Get ready for Japan. work. work. work.

This is my life for the next few weeks. Or month. So, right now the creativity or "interestingness" of my picture will probably lack. I don't even know if they had that before.

It's cool. Japan awaits! :P
