What I bring to work for lunch everyday, even though the fillings change. :)
I usually have this with an apple and a granola bar.
Mmmmyep. Exciting. :P
This is a watercolor that sold before it was even shown. I was setting up for a show and an elderly gentleman was watching me and as I started to hang this piece, he asked if it was for sale. He bought it on the spot. He said that it looked just like the mule he had used to plow with in his youth. It seemed to bring back pleasent memories. That is what art is ment to do.
Amtrak Work Extra 2006 heads south with AMTK 522 trailing. The power is returning from spotting empty tie flats at Meriden Yard and is enroute back to Cedar Interlocking where it will back six loaded tie cars to the TLM (Track Laying Machine) which is installing Track 2 to the right of the engines. The work is part of the New Haven-Hartford-Springfield Commuter Rail project, scheduled for completion next year. The P&W 2006, along with 2010 have been leased by Amtrak for work train service.
Acrylic on cartridge paper, palette knife experimentation. Really captures the energy of the scene.
Completed 2011

On my last day at work, I took some pictures on a co-workers old Canon AE-1, to see if it worked, and help him figure some things out on it.
It shot beautifully, and I used a roll of 800 ISO Fuji something or other film. I was impressed with the colour on it, making me think twice about only shooting black and white on my Nikon.
By the way, if anyone wants to get rid of, or knows someone who wants to get rid of, old film gear, I'd be interested. :)
On Saturday 28th January the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway Fence2Fence team were working at Golfa Summit.
The neighbouring land is owned by the Powis Estate and during 2021/22 they had harvested much of the woodland adjacent to the railway. Some of this has now been replanted.
On the railway side of the fence there were some scruffy looking trees and oddments of coppice which to be brutally honest looked a mess. The object of the day was to tidy this section up which included re-coppicing the area, strimming the grass either side of the line and last but not least uprooting the brambles that were trying to establish themselves in the ballast between the sleepers.
