“Can anything be sadder than work left unfinished? Yes, work never begun.”
―Christina Rossetti
This is one of many jewelry projects filling a desk in my workroom. My hobby for 14 years, I had to quit after a wrist fracture. By the time I was able to handle the fine motor control again, I had moved onto photography. I keep thinking I might do both, but the camera always wins!
We saw this charming collection of an amateur's work in the Tourist Office in Givet (France). I forgot to note down the artist's name...
Shame on me!

I've been wanting to build a steed for a little while now, here's what I have so far! The legs, head and rider are pretty much finished, but the body needs some more work. It's got some similarities to my previous MoC Mayazakt: www.flickr.com/photos/129809225@N03/15757488649/
This is a page from 'Unwind in the Wilds' illustrated by Sarah Taylor and produced by 'Derwent Colour and Relax'.
I bought the book as a promo pack complete with ten Derwent Coloursoft pencils at quite a low price. The offer price seems to have gone up £4 since I bought it!
The book comes with instructions, a colour wheel and a couple of completed coloured in pages.Seemingly ideal for beginners and youngsters but perhaps isn't everyone's cup of tea.
So far I have given the bird its first coating but it now needs at least another one over the top.
I honestly can't work out what leaves, flowers or buds are growing from the branch.Jan says just start and see what develops. Keeping to the ten Coloursoft pencils makes it more of a challenge.
If I do finish it I'll attempt to put it on Flickr in due course.
Arts Alive Chalk Paintings are judged at 3 this afternoon. This sweet 16 year old wanted to leave her Edward Scissorhands and play with Benni. Several of the artists stopped work to get handshakes and high fives from Benni who knew not to step inside the blue outlined grids.
First roll from my Vito camera, X-tra 400 used.

If anyone knows of any Project Management roles anywhere please pm me. I am looking for projects within water, data or GIS sectors. Will also consider any photography work once got camera.
Camera claim still ongoing as only just sent in the claim as had problems getting a damage report.
The siding at Jersey City was the next stop for BR401. I believe FOXY and Tomahawk Railway interchange cars here (or perhaps in Tomahawk proper). I thought they would grab cars off the siding and bring them to Bradley but they did considerable work as they reshuffled the cars. It was a pleasant evening to kick back and enjoy the music of an SD40-2 going about it's moves back and forth. March 28, 2024.
still in the cast for a few more weeks so still struggling with daily things i’d hoped my awful shoe tying would have at least lasted til i got to work but i was already almost tripping on these long laces at the top of my stairs heading out for work so very carefully i headed out for work, stopping for an outfit pic in the garage, and had Jenny retie my granny boots at work. I’m also wearing scrunched black socks, blue floral skirt and a solid blue short sleeve tee since it’s going to be hella warm today.
