Words, take her with you

Let her rest in your rhyme

Words, take her away

Somewhere, be on time

Words, ease her breathing

Lay her softly on the floor

There, let her linger

And listen like ever before

Leave, her windows, uncovered at night

And fill her room with the city lights

As they illuminate the sky

It reminds her of the people outside

Cause she won't sleep

Unless she heals her loneliness

Walk with her

Beneath the tree tops

Create new paths and memories

Show her, how the sunlight

Glances through the gaps between the leaves

Words, help her change the world

In only one verse

Tell her to reach for the stars

And to always put love first

Leave, her windows, uncovered at night

And fill her room with the city lights

As they illuminate the sky

It reminds her of the people outside

It reminds her of the people

It reminds her of the people

It reminds her of the people outside

Saying "I love you"

Is not the words I want to hear from you

It's not that I want you

Not to say but if you only knew

How easy, it would be to show me how you feel

More than words is all you have to do to make it real

Then you wouldn't have to say that you love me

'Cause I'd already know

What would you do

If my heart was torn in two?

More than words to show you feel

That your love for me is real

What would you say

If I took those words away?

Then you couldn't make things new

Just by saying "I love you"

La-di-da, da-di-da

Di-dai-dai-da

More than words

La-di-da, da-di-da

Now that I've tried to

Talk to you and make you understand

All you have to do is close your eyes

And just reach out your hands and touch me

Hold me close, don't ever let me go

More than words is all I ever needed you to show

Then you wouldn't have to say that you love me

'Cause I'd already know

What would you do

If my heart was torn in two?

More than words to show you feel

That your love for me is real

What would you say

If I took those words away?

Then you couldn't make things new

Just by saying "I love you"

When I say that I'm a "travel photographer" (which is not actually something I say a lot, but it's been mentioned), I don't mean that I fly around the world to National Geographic locations. I generally don't fly at all.*

By travel, I mean that I generally don't shoot at home. I travel (drive) to the locations I photograph.

Usually, it's about three to five hours away from where I live. And often it's just a daytrip.

Once a year, I am fortunate enough to take a month off and travel the US by car. Then, I am mostly camping, staying in hotels only when I "have" to. Usually the camping is free and in a tent. I don't like sleeping in my car.

For me, photography is how I interpret the world outside of my daily world. I don't carry a camera with me basically ever (unless I'm traveling).

I'm sure flying with big cameras and film isn't that much of a pain in the ass. And I see the draw in being able to essentially teleport ones self to your destination. It allows you to explore that destination much more thoroughly than I am usually able to. There's a great benefit to this.

But I am also a travel photographer in the sense that I photograph what I see while I'm literally traveling.

In this photo, taken looking towards Steptoe Butte in the Palouse area of eastern Washington, I literally stopped on the road, got out of the car, grabbed my RB67, and took the shot.

I don't think there's some big controversy over what is and isn't travel photography (unlike the ridiculous arguments over what is and isn't street photography), but it's at least something to think about while I'm apparently taking some sort of break.

*I've flown three times in my life - 1984, 2007, 2020. Will I ever do it again?

It seems this is one of many moments where I don’t have the words to explain the meaning this image has for me personally and the thoughts, actions, pain, insight, experiences, doubts, victory, questions, growth, change (and much more) the creation of this photo holds for me. At the moment it seems to go beyond words for me.

This is the theme for Smile on Saturday and made me realize I didn't have any mugs with words on them. So off with my camera to the store where I found lots of wordy mugs. I wonder how many of us ended up in stores?

I think this is a Tomten instead of a Gnome. I have two books about Tomtens and three Tomtens around the house and really love them more than gnomes.

Way back in the seventies, eighties, and early nineties, Doc and I would travel over the Cassiar Highway on our way to and from Alaska. At the time there was a Campground/RV Park called "Mighty Moe's". Mighty Moe was an eccentric backwoods character who entertained his campers with outrageous stories, and he also played a long-handled frying pan as a guitar. Moe was a delightful campground host and bent over backwards to make sure you had a happy experience. Sadly, a forest fire eventually took Moe's beautiful area from him, and he passed away shortly after. We were told that his heart was broken after the devastating fire.

others burrow into our flesh and change the way we think, speak, and feel.

“I can see her struggling to find the right word. Death seems so harsh. Passing so oblique. Some things are beyond words, I suppose, and she never finishes the statement. It seems right, that her words should fall into oblivion; after all, she—like me, like everyone—has no words for what follows, for the unknowable, only her hopes and prayers and an unwavering faith in something more.”

Glam Affair has me SPEECHLESS.

This rarely happens. I can never not find a word. I’m awesome with words. But I have none to tell you how in love with skin I am.

Could this be the skin I move on from Anna with?

Oooohhhhhhh….

Backstory; I always wore my Lel Raven head, always.

I changed shapes, but I used to wrong head for the shape, bc, you know, I just graduated from Silly Goose university.

So my avi looking all cute with the wrong head for the shape but it’s ok. She’s cute.

I always notice Skin Creators use Lel Avalon for their ads.

So now that I’m wearing Avalon, completely by accident, and I’m blogging these gorgeous Glam Affair skins, it’s like the missing piece of the puzzle fell into place.

These skins looked incredible on Raven, they are PERFECTION on my new shape.

TL;DR - I’m a goose and wear Lelutka Avalon now.

ANYWAY!!! Let’s talk about THIS skin.

This Glam Affair skin, Aga.

If it’s not in their mainstore now, it’s guna be, real soon.

And you should definitely go grab a demo and see just how amazing it looks on your avatar, and then buy it, because this is perfect.

As always, three options in your chosen skin tone. Dark brows, light brows and no brows.

And let me tell you, these brows are a big part in what made me fall in love with this skin.

Shown in Sienna B, on Lelutka Avalon.

"Words mean more at night

Like a song

And did you ever notice

The way light means more than it did all day long?

Please read them by the light of the moon"

and the picture....

One of the few lights that still shines in Walpack Center, a town that nearly disappeared due to the defunct Tocks Island Dam Project. Walpack itself dates back to at least Oct. 26, 1731, and holds the distinction as the oldest municipality in the county, predating the state, and even the nation. The population is estimated to be 11. Walpack... a fascinating little place that time almost forgot... in a beautiful area of NJ that is so fun to get out and explore.

For Looking close…on Friday!

My baby says to me in her profile...

If I could have just one wish,

I would wish to wake up everyday

to the sound of your breath on my neck,

the warmth of your lips on my cheek,

the touch of your fingers on my skin,

and the feel of your heart beating with mine...

Knowing that I could never find that feeling

with anyone other than you.

and i m melting over here...

Love you too baby..really

i write upon these walls of digital scale

not knowing or understanding how my words will hail

our words are currency and that's the truth

sometimes they lead to bankruptcy sometimes to gold

but without looking at a face nothing is foretold.

i say love you read hate

i say now you say too late

so let me be clear and not misunderstood

i would smile at you all if only i could

you may say nay, your not honest or true

i say to you

we will all pass each other in the hall of the blue

let's hope we meet that would be sweet

wether we smile or frown or just give a glance

know this that my heart will open and take you with that chance.
