Inspired by ... the British Ministry of Information 1939! (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keep_Calm_and_Carry_On)
I applied the color gradient, added the official ubuntu studio brandmark and wordmark and appropriate text, added drop-shadows, and rendered the final image in Gimp.
As with all my submissions, I aimed for some degree of "background" sensibility, thus my selection of dark colors.

"hello there" is what you might call a wordmark for the Quirk Hotel. Set in the hotel's widely used pink color, here it serves as the face of an all-round general purpose room for the hotel. At camera left is Quirk Gallery, the hotel's gift shop. The hotel's main entrance is off-camera left.
I embedded the official ubuntu studio brandmark and wordmark, applied drop-shadows, created a line nova and rendered the final image with Gimp.

An early 1990s Sprite sign on main street in Pilot Rock, Oregon.
"The iconic logo with the lemon replacing the dot was introduced in 1989. The light green wordmark in a bold and elegant font was slightly italicized and had a two-layered image of lime and lemon, placed horizontally above the “I”. This is one of the most recognizable versions of the Sprite logo ever created."
Orange and a dark, dark purple... *this* (under a few names) is the grocery store I remember shopping at when I first came out here. Fred Meyer used the same "Marketplace" text and color theme, but with its big, italicized Helvetica wordmark instead of the super-90s script.
A look at some trademark filings from the mid-90s reveals Smitty's Super Valu Inc. was located at 2626 S. Seventh Street in Phoenix, which is a warehouse-type facility. It had to be closed and consolidated with Fry's warehouse in Tolleson upon the Kroger-FM merger, as there's another business in the space.
In the late 80s and early 90s, Smitty's used this logo that has to date to the 60s. The correct color for the wordmark is blue. i.imgur.com/aWVzA6M.gif
They also had another logo, used for a hot moment in the mid-90s: www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZNdPbT9QXk - Apparently this logo was used when Smitty's left the ownership of Canadian Steinberg and fell into the hands of The Yucaipa Companies, and it was supposed to advertise that American ownership was back (since it annoyed people when Smitty's was bought by a Canadian concern).

While this wordmark has been used in a floral style design before, I’ve now applied a retro effect to it. Finer details such as scotch tape and staple are also included to make this design more polished and interesting, which also helped me to experiment with another style that I may work on fairly soon.

A nice little wordmark I've been working on for an Argentinian street food company based down in Borough Market. All drawn from scratch but based on an old typeface. The full re-brand will roll out soon.

In Western culture, Christmas Eve is celebrated on December 24. However, the Coptic, Serbian (nice to meet you:)), Russian, Macedonian, and Georgian Orthodox Churches, as well as the Greek Orthodox Church of Jerusalem, use the Julian calendar, which is currently thirteen days behind the Gregorian calendar, so Christmas Eve for the adherents of those Churches coincides with January 6 of the following year in the Gregorian calendar.
Wikipedia surely can explain this much more better than me :) Merry Xmas Eve to all those who celebrate it today!

Who needs a message in a bottle, when you can have a message with a candle! We had a great pleasure to help Message Candles create a brand identity of their new product. Based on an elegant wordmark accompanied by monogram and custom tailored typography used for messages applied on candle glass, we achieved a luxury, contemporary look, fitting the product style. Inspired by the candle, its amazing aesthetics and a tiny detail ? a wooden wick, we decided to use the same real wood across the identity design including the packaging. We played a lot with different thickness of special wood veneers, to achieve perfect results for both business cards and packaging. Message Candles come in a variety of amazing, uniquely formulated fragrances. We have designed a set of pictograms which are used in a form of stamps and stickers. Additionally we?ve designed a set of pictograms for a booklet manual included in each box, to advise the ways in which to best enjoy the candle. The next stage was to create the brand mood by showing the product in a real ambience. We invited a truly talented photographer and stylist Paulina Arcklin to create a lookbook with four different spaces: a bedroom, a living room, a bathroom and a wedding table. Last but not least, to create a full brand experience, we took care of the webdesign and e-commerce. Simple, modern website with a friendly shopping cart and pleasant buying process.

Svenska Fotobokspriset (The Swedish Photobook Award) is granted by the Swedish Association of Professional Photographers, which was founded in 1895. The award was constituted in 1996 and is bestowed annually to the most beautiful Swedish photobook.
With the aim of stimulating and supporting qualitative photobook publishing, SFF each year assemble a jury of professionals from the field of photography. The jury nominates five books, one of which is declared the winner, receiving a diploma and a stipend at an award gala.
Earlier recipients of the award include Anders Petersen, JH Engström, Sune Jonsson and Jenny Rova.
In the Autumn of 2017, The Swedish Association of Professional Photographers commissioned Lundgren+Lindqvist to redesign the visual identity for the award, including diplomas, animations, posters and invites for Svenska Fotoboksdagen (The Swedish Photobook Day).
The new visual identity features a mono-linear wordmark, monogram and set of icons, paired with two variations of the Kane typeface from Think work Observe.
The monogram is direct in its iconization of an open book. Additionally, it can be seen as rays of light, relating to the technical process of making a photograph, exposing the photographic film (or its digital counterpart), or perhaps two hands holding a camera. The symbol also illustrates sequencing and rhythm; central elements in the making of a photobook. It is also a fond nod to one of the most common motifs to be captured in a photograph; namely the sunset.
The current year rises out of the open book, and is, like the colour system, updated on a yearly basis. The placement of the year and the underlaying gutter of the book defines the placement of the wordmark in its primary version, as well as headlines displayed in close proximity to the logotype.
The blunt typography pays tribute to photography's technical side while placing the award in an art context by hinting at the stencilized messages on transport boxes instructing the art-movers that the goods is 'FRAGILE' or needs to be transported with 'THIS SIDE UP'. It draws inspiration from the typographical intersection where technology meets (conceptual) art.
Over the last couple of years, the project has been extended with a poster campaign, printed invitations to the award ceremony, animations and diplomas for the awardees.

A logo is a graphic mark or emblem commonly used by commercial enterprises, organizations and even individuals to aid and promote instant public recognition. Logos are either purely graphic (symbols/icons) or are composed of the name of the organization (a logotype or wordmark).
The traditional laurel symbol of Karl Benz ( also Carl Benz ! ) was added along with his name to complete the new logo.
The laurel symbol should demonstrate the better cars ( than Daimler ) , stronger motors and winner of most challenges !

30 Rockefeller Plaza is an American Art Deco skyscraper that forms the centerpiece of Rockefeller Center in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. Formerly called the RCA Building from 1933 to 1988, and later the GE Building from 1988 to 2015, it was renamed the Comcast Building on July 1, 2015, following the transfer of ownership to new corporate owner Comcast. Its name is often shortened to 30 Rock. The building is most famous for housing the NBC television network headquarters. At 850 feet (260 m) high, the 70-story building is the 14th tallest in New York City and the 39th tallest in the United States. It stands 400 feet (122 m) shorter than the Empire State Building.
The building underwent a $170 million floor-by-floor interior renovation in 2014. The renovation included new Comcast signage atop the building; new ground-level signage that reads Comcast Building; and, for the first time, the display of the iconic NBC Peacock logo on the building's exterior.
The building was completed in 1933 as part of the Rockefeller Center complex. The noted Art Deco architect Raymond Hood led a team of Rockefeller architects. It was named the RCA Building for its main tenant, the Radio Corporation of America, formed in 1919 by General Electric. The famous photograph Lunch atop a Skyscraper was taken during the construction of the 69th floor. The National Broadcasting Company, had both the Red Network and the Blue Network housed in the new building, which was also nicknamed "Radio City". NBC was the first national radio network in the country and was started by R.C.A. in 1926.
The office of the Rockefeller family occupied Room 5600 on the 56th floor. This space is now occupied by Rockefeller Family and Associates, whose offices span the 54th to 56th floors. John D. Rockefeller had a private vault in the basement of the building, accessible via a private elevator from his office.[4]
In 1985, the building acquired official landmark status. The RCA Building was renamed as the GE Building in 1988, two years after General Electric re-acquired the RCA Corporation. Some still refer to the building using its old names, out of habit or fondness.
The building's address became the title of the NBC sitcom 30 Rock (2006–2013), which follows the cast and crew of a fictional television show filmed inside the building. Aside from two live episodes, which were produced at NBC's facilities inside the building, the series used the building mostly for exterior and occasional lobby shots, while interior scenes were filmed at Silvercup Studios in Long Island City, Queens.
From the end of 1960 through October 1993, the building's mezzanine level housed the New York City weather forecast office of the National Weather Service; it was relocated to eastern Long Island, on the grounds of Brookhaven National Laboratory at Upton, New York. KWO35, the NOAA Weather Radio station serving the majority of the Tri-State area, originally transmitted from atop the building and remained there until 2014. Due to interference with a U.S. Coast Guard radio channel, the transmitter was eventually relocated atop the MetLife Building. A weather radar station was also located atop the building (it was previously used as Doppler 4000 during WNBC-TV's local newscasts).
In June 2014, Comcast was granted permission from the Landmarks Preservation Commission to make modifications to the building to reflect its ownership of NBCUniversal. The GE Building would be officially known as the Comcast Building. Comcast planned to replace the neon GE lettering from the top of the building with a 10-foot (3.0 m) tall, LED-lit Comcast wordmark and NBC logo, and add a 17-foot (5.2 m) NBC logo on the building western's facade. Additionally, a new marquee was added to the Avenue of the Americas entrance, advertising it as the home of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. On July 1, 2015, the name change and new signage were made official.
The building is one of the most famous and recognized skyscrapers in New York. The frieze located above the main entrance was produced by Lee Lawrie and depicts "Wisdom", along with a slogan that reads "Wisdom and Knowledge shall be the stability of thy times", from Isaiah 33:6 (KJV). The vertical detailing of the building's austere Art Deco facade is integrated with a slim, functionally expressive form. The present exterior is recognized for the Comcast logo with the NBC peacock at the building's top. The famous marquees above the building's 49th and 50th Street entrances have been seen on numerous television shows, such as 30 Rock and Seinfeld. Unlike most other tall Art Deco buildings constructed in the 1930s, 30 Rockefeller Plaza has no spire on its roof.
Below the building is a shopping concourse, connected to the lobby via an escalator. The open lobby's rich materials and reduced black and beige ornamental scheme is enhanced by dramatic lighting. Granite covers the building base to a height of 4 ft (1.2 m) and the shaft has a refined facade of Indiana Limestone with aluminum spandrel panels.
The 65th floor of the building is an event room and restaurant named the Rainbow Room. It was revamped and reopened to the public with new operators until it closed in 2009 due to the economic downturn. The interior of the Rainbow Room holds landmark status, awarded by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission in 2012. Following extensive refurbishment, the Rainbow Room reopened in fall 2014.
The observation deck atop the skyscraper, dubbed "Top of the Rock", reopened to the public on November 1, 2005, after undergoing a $75 million renovation. It had been closed since 1986 to accommodate the renovation of the Rainbow Room. The deck, which is built to resemble the deck of an ocean liner, offers sightseers a bird's eye view of the city, competing with the 86th floor observatory of the Empire State Building 200 feet (61 m) higher. It is often considered the best panoramic city view, if only because it offers a view of the aforementioned Empire State Building, which cannot be seen from its own observation deck. The timed entry system and larger observation deck also results in shorter waiting times compared to the Empire State.

Simon Vieira's graduate project, Diligo, is a social change website that allows people to collaborate, socialize, and invest together in ideas that will change the world in a positive way. The site enables individuals to post an initiative and have the public rate it. The higher the rating, the more exposure the initiative gets.
The branding effort for this project included the identity itself, the brand guidelines booklet, packaging, advertising, stationary and the website itself.
