Patons Classic Wool Merino 'Leaf Green' :: Size 8 needles

Finally, FINALLY! Have been trying to make this shade of green since I started dyeing!

Handspun teal wool with "shots" of brightly colored mohair.

75% superwash wool/25% nylon Bare Yarn from Knit Picks, after I dyed it with Wilton's cake icing coloring in Juniper Green.

Hand spun wool from "beast" roving (misc. wool mix) A little scratchy but nice for the price. Felts nicely.

Bought this last weekend, during the Stockhoms handweavers Wool-day.

It is from a farm about 100 km from here! Partly pälsfår and partly finull (can't remember the english word for the moment.)

About 450 m /100 g. Thinking about knitting a faorese-shawl from the dark brown one, and maybe use the other one for mittens or... Well, maybe I'll just fondle it.

Valley Yarns Franklin Twilight

Wool Exchange, Bradford, West Yorkshire

Built in 1864-67 by the significant local firm of Lockwood & Mawson to serve Bradford's woollen cloth manufacturing industry, which was the biggest in the world. They saw off competition from William Burges and Norman Shaw for the commission. Pevsner thought it 'the central symbol of 19th Century commercial Bradford'. It closed for business in 1964, and has since been successfully converted for commercial use, including the central hall which is now a Waterstones bookshop.

Here's my first plied yarn! It's Shetland wool. I need to measure the skein, but it's quite a lot!

I'm planning to dye it deep blue, but I'm not sure what I'll ultimately make with it.

100% wool recycled yarn.
