Thick and thin as some sections just would not draft nicely.
This is my 6 flavour KoolAid beanie. Each stripe is a different flavour (the black is commercially dyed yarn).
2 skeins. shelridge farms handpaint D. SU0208-D. 100% wool, machine washable. 3 ply fingering. 175 yds/ 50 gr. per skein.

This is the basic hat I teach, but made in the wonderful kettle dyed yarn called Malabrigo. I got this in Chicago, in one of those chi-chi knitting boutiques with lots of artsy space and sparse yarn display. The yarn is so soft and beautiful, and I am envious of my friend who gets to visit a town where there's a store that sells it, and keeps bringing it back and gloating. :-)

This used to be a bit bigger! It was my daughter's Charlie top. She took it to college and the staff washed it in with her jeans (she is disabled and they take control). Oh well, I'll have to make it into something else.
