Thick and thin as some sections just would not draft nicely.

7 balls, 20gms each of darker red/pink, 1 and half of bright red.

This time on Mountain Meadows. Amazing how different a colorway can look on another base, yes?

Handspun handyed yarn from Betty Limoges, bought at the Medieval Fair in '08.

This is the basic hat I teach, but made in the wonderful kettle dyed yarn called Malabrigo. I got this in Chicago, in one of those chi-chi knitting boutiques with lots of artsy space and sparse yarn display. The yarn is so soft and beautiful, and I am envious of my friend who gets to visit a town where there's a store that sells it, and keeps bringing it back and gloating. :-)

“Xochipilli,” named after the Aztec god of love and flowers, is a hand dyed/commercially spun bulky wool yarn dyed in royal plum, blazing copper, cornflower, cerulean, and mauve. There are gobs of surprising variations throughout this yarn!
