I love making these, it gives me a chance to bust into my huge stash of beautfiul yarns! It is crochet from a number of gorgeous handspun and hand dyed wool yarns, organic cotton, recycled sari silk and banana fiber yarns. It looks great on and all the natural fibers in the yarns will keep your head very cozy.
It will best fit a 21"-22" head with lots of hair or dreadlocks, just pull all your hair through the top and rock on!
First sampler size 6 by 8 inches. Used fabric, gold metallic ribbon, wool, flannel. Black border is part ribbon, too fussy, and strips from my son's corduroy pants.
The rest of the yarn for Clapotis. Superwash Wool, about 9oz. It's dk to worsted weight thick and thin. Very soft and shiny.
It's from this roving. About 500yds.

Laine kureyon de Noro.
Different lighting. The sample strip in the middle is the fabric before. My washer is a front-loader, so I'm going to try boiling and agitating on my stove to see if I can increase the shrinkage.
this is an attempt of a ball using steel wool as an exposure, it went ok but looks more like an orange
Limited edition non-repeatable colorway. On a whim, I pulled a ton of different fibers from my stash and carded up 16 different semi-solid batts. It contains lots of non-wool fibers, including recycled bamboo rayon, sari silk threads, and sparkle. I spun it up extra bulky.

Yet another Warm Heart Woolies diaper wrap, made from soft-soft Malabrigo. I think the color is slightly off in my photos but it's close enough.
Not sure if I'm going to keep this for the bebeh-to-be or sell it.
Yarn: Malabrigo worsted, color Hollyhock
