on explore # 142 at 2009-02-19! Hexe- und Hexenmeistermaske vom Hexensprung heute Abend. Junge Hexen wurden in einer Zeremonie in den Hexenkreis aufgenommen, ältere Hexen sprangen über Feuer... es war toll!
Witchmasks you often can find in the carnevaltime. This evening I was on a fest with witchdancing, witches were jumping over a fire... it was so wonderful there!
Carnival is a festive season which occurs immediately before Lent; the main events are usually during January and February. Carnival typically involves a public celebration or parade combining some elements of a circus and public street party. People often dress up or masquerade during the celebrations.

Witches of Ellezelles.
Ellezelles is the center of "Pays des Collines", a landscape of hills in the southern part of Belgium where the ghost of Quintine de la Glisserie (a witch burned in 1610) is still wandering around.

Traveler is wondering if it is too soon to go Trick or Treat! I sent this picture to a friend to make her laugh and she wrote back saying, "Traveler is such a cute little Pilgrim"!!!!!!!!!
Beware the stony gaze of the Water Witch! And nobody interrupt her while she is stirring her cauldron, seriously.
From our sunrise shoot at Mammoth Lakes, Clint M. brought me down to this spot with a superb view of the lakes at sunrise. There were many close and macro treats to be found as well.
But if you must come here alone, in the dark...be warned!

The Witches Tower build techniques. When I make these large builds I usually try to come up with a technique I haven’t seen before or try something I haven’t done before. It helps make these projects more interesting to build and makes bulk ordering parts a lot simpler.
This build I wanted to try messing around with flex tube to get the correct spacing I wanted for the bricks. I did try mixel ball joints and hinges but I quickly realised the price would get expensive quick. Flex tube just ended up being the simpler option and gave me a lot of options to attach things to.
The technique I use for the framing in the rock has been used in all my show displays. It is the best solution I have come up with to help make elevated terrain. It is very strong and light for transport. Its also quick to build and easy to change if need be.
This driftwood arrangement in the beach in Carmel looked like something from the Blair Witch Project.
A Witch Ball is usually a hollow glass sphere that is used as a float for fishing...Traditionally it was hung in windows to ward off evil spirits during the 17th and 18th Century
This Image is of a Public House Sign that still hangs off the building even though the Pub at Thame, in Oxfordshire, has long gone ;^))
