Built in 1886 to replace the village's original brick schoolhouse and moved to a new concrete foundation with a basement in the 1930's. It was later used as a community center.
Kenosha Wisconsin The Unimog on the left is assigned to streetcar duty and besides clearing track of snow, it also serves as linecar. The Unimog 437/31 on the right is part of the street department and is the last one they have, at one time the street dept. had about 12, including the streetcar one on the left
The Wisconsin & Southern Railroad (WSOR) is a class II regional railroad operating in southern Wisconsin and northeastern Illinois. Although it retains a handful of E-unit for excursions, it owns only one F-unit, FP7 number 71A. Here it is in Lego, fully equipped with Power Functions and ready to run on the power of two train motors. Suggestions are welcome.
Gov. Scott Walker and senior Wisconsin National Guard leaders joined families and friends at a formal sendoff ceremony Feb. 2 for approximately 35 Soldiers from the West Bend, Wis.-based Company C, 1st Battalion, 168th Aviation, who will deploy to Afghanistan in support of Operation Freedom's Sentinel. The WICT began operations in 1985 over mostly ex-Milwaukee road lines owned by the state.
