This Wisconsin Air Guard KC-97 was surely the star of the show at the 1973 International Air Tattoo, but it was up against some tough competition!
52-0905 is now preserved at the guard's museum at Camp Douglas, Wisconsin.

These images were made during a journey down Rustic Road 97 in Marinette County on June 24, 2017.
R-97 is a curvy, hilly route passing through wooded areas that often form a scenic canopy over the road, as well as some outstanding agricultural vistas.
Wisconsin's Rustic Roads system was created to preserve many of the state's scenic, lightly traveled country roads. Features of Rustic Roads include rugged terrain, native vegetation and wildlife, or open areas with agricultural vistas.

Wisconsin & Calumet F7's #901 & 106 are northbound approaching Roundout Tower in Libertyville, IL on May 27, 1989. The WICT began operations in 1985 over mostly ex-Milwaukee road lines owned by the state. This train is running on Metra trackage rights after making Chicago connections at the Belt's Clearing Yard.(misc10997b)
