One of the things I love about the plains in winter is all the hawks are so easy to spot. And this one made it really easy, with just sitting on a wire. He had no fear of us, let us walk up right under him, and even helped us out by facing the sun to keep his head out of the shadows.

The tiny fences have no purpose and they only block flow. Get rid of them. They might look nice but...
Check out this site. They have a great collection of train flicks, and my personal favorite, a podcast called Wiretapping. I just got through listening to Damagers interviews with Slej AOD, and Brisk SADK. Good stuff....lots of stories and history, especially for anyone interested in the Utah scene.
It looks weird on me, but heck, its a pair of Oakley prescriptions.

Residential building on Kudrinskaya square (Building on Uprising square) - a high-rise building in Moscow, one of the «Stalin's skyscrapers» («Seven Sisters»)
Built in 1948-1954 years. designed by architects MV Posokhin, AA Mndoyants and designer MN Vohomskogo.
The building consists of a central (24 floors, the height of the tower and spire - 156 meters) and side buildings (18 residential floors) constituting a single structural array, based on the total ground floor.
On the first and ground floors of the building were originally shops and a cinema "Flame" (currently not working), in the basement - underground garages.
Skyscraper popularly called the «House of aviators», because the apartment was given to the workers the aviation industry (in particular, employees of the Tupolev design Bureau) and the test pilot, but, of course, among the tenants there were many party activists.
Said that, when opened near the US Embassy, the top two floors were settled. There KGB installed equipment for wiretapping, and from there to "watch" for Americans.
Sculptures on the facade of the building symbolize creativity, defense, and labor of the Soviet citizens.
Mr. Gordon advocated investigations into possible grounds for impeachment of prominent White House officials.

This is one of the five buildings that make up the Watergate complex, in Washington, D.C. The style was controversial when it was built starting in August 1963, and was completed in 1971. The next year, the headquarters of the Democratic National Committee were burglarized, documents were photographed, and telephones were wiretapped. A investigation revealed that high officials in the Nixon administration had ordered the break-in and then tried to cover up their involvement. Additional crimes were also uncovered. The ensuing Watergate scandal, named for the complex, led to the resignation of President Richard M. Nixon in 1974.
After Wiretap, we went to Ontario House to watch curling and then watch the Constantines. (Their show was postponed due to curling, which went into extra ends.)

I don't quite know what this means with NSA and all. Or ever did. Justice and Security. Security and Justice. Tough to wrap your head around. Or maybe so clear you have to be really dense to miss it. Or maybe that's so till you cross the line. And that where we Americans always get teed off, start arguing and throwing things;
Nice to see the thing we shot in 4:3 anamorphic fully projected. NOT nice to see all the other self indulgent crap everyone else made. That's the oft-referenced Bokes aka "Dude/Boges" and I, then Chaka and Tom The Tree Man.
This is the building where the famous Room 641A is. If you don't know what that means, its where the government was caught wiretapping without a warrant internet backbone traffic.... and then the government was able to make the case disappear.
Yesterday, there were protests there, I think about the company trying to screw over the communication workers.
A sizable number of citizens braved the cold weather and attended a rally and hearing on impeachment during a week day.
