I grabbed the loop with the flat-nose pliers, and wrapped the remaining wire back down the shaft, trapping the straight wire against it.
100% Sterling Silver wireworked necklace. I absolutely love this piece.
I'm thinking that these photos simply aren't doing justice to the depth and richness of color in all of these beads.
See that tiny loop of wire wrapped around the straight wire? Adjust that slightly if necessary so that it is just big enough to hold the very end of the feather shaft. That helps with the final wrapping.

Inspired by the crystal clear fjords of New Zealand, this is a beautifully bright aqua and white necklace of aqua Venetian glass silverfoil square beads and pure white Swarovski pearls, all wirewrapped together with silver wire. The focal points are a wonderfully tactile white-coated glass pebble in front dangling from a handmade silver scroll. This is balanced by glass and glittering AB crystals cascading down the back of the neck.
Necklace length is 18 inches/45cm, with the front pendants at 2.5 inches/6cm and a back drop of 4 inches/10 cm.

Commission for a friend's sister's birthday gift. Huge snowflake obsidian cab wrapped with Sterling silver wire and strung on a beaded necklace of freshwater pearls, snowflake obsidian, "ice" quartz and black onyx. Matching earrings have the same beads as the necklace and are strung on Sterling silver wire.
I've only just learned how to wire in this pattern. My mum taught me.

I used the round-nose pliers to make a loop at the end of the shaft. The bare bit of the shaft end, and the wire next to it, will be wrapped with the remaining wire.
Greeny bkue Abalone shell beads with sterling silver and swarovski crystal add a new look. I am not the biggest fan if wirewrapping but it does look better with some types of beads.
an organic and hugely lustrous, a lengthy stick pearl (a huge 36mm, which is a bit shy of 1.5" in length!) with shimmering rainbow overglows swings, wirewrapped with sterling silver to an sterling silver italian box chain. all silver has been oxidized and hand polished for rustic, organic character.

I made this heart as a gift for a friend on Mother's Day. Her girls helped me design it. She has three daughters of her own and three foster daughters.
I wirewrapped the birthstones of her children on the Snow Quartz heart, then added three lengths of chain with the birthstones of the foster children on the ends. It hangs very gracefully on the side. I used the chain to represent the room for love in Laurie's heart and home.
I can add a new birthstone with the addition of each new foster child.
