I tried using 18 gauge wire (right). 18 gauge wire is uncooperative. I tried coaxing it by showing it how lovely it would look once it was finished, but, it wouldn't budge. 18 gauge wire does not want to be made into flower rings.

Inspired by the crystal clear fjords of New Zealand, this is a beautifully bright aqua and white necklace of aqua Venetian glass silverfoil square beads and pure white Swarovski pearls, all wirewrapped together with silver wire. The focal points are a wonderfully tactile white-coated glass pebble in front dangling from a handmade silver scroll. This is balanced by glass and glittering AB crystals cascading down the back of the neck.
Necklace length is 18 inches/45cm, with the front pendants at 2.5 inches/6cm and a back drop of 4 inches/10 cm.

Black onyx and dyed red jasper, wrapped in non tarnish silver plated wire. Sterling silver earring hooks.
Ruby and kyanite in fuchsite are the foundation for this large pendant. I "embroidered" moonstone, rubies, kyanite and ruby in zoisite over and around it. This piece is on display for sale at Panoply/Fisk Gallery in Newnan, Georgia. If you get a chance to drop by there, the place is beautiful and jam packed with treasures.
My first attempt at wire wrapping. All metals are silver plated. Center circles were purchased, not handcrafted by me :) Blue glass beads and nickel and lead free hoops. 2 3/4" diameter.
This stone gave me no end of trouble. I wrapped it -- and cut it out -- about five times before ending up with this. Still not crazy about it, but done fighting with this stone.
Soft and subtly fruity, this necklace captures the essence of autumn. Czech glass beads and creamy Swarovski pearls are complimented by dangling clusters of amber-hued Swarovski crystals, like ripe fruit waiting to be plucked. All beads are wirewrapped by hand with sterling silver wire.
The bracelet is 7 inches/18cm long with an inch-long extension chain at the back.

These earrings are made of copper wire and wire wrapped with argentium sterling silver wire.
I have handforged the copper wire to form the oval shapped and the swirls.
I them hammered the earrings create the dramatic texture. I also oxidized them for the antiqued look and tumbled them for the high shine.
These can be purchased at the website listed on my profile.
This stone reminds me of a chrysanthemum or pink carnation. I wire wrapped it in vintage bronze wire with Swarovski pearls and crystals.
Available on my website.
A marble was heated and then dropped in cold water, producing a cool crackled appearance. Then I wire wrapped it. :)

I wired this gorgeous 12mm malachite coin bead onto 16 gauge wire and attached it to a 16 inch long sterling snake chain. With these beautiful beads to show off, I had to create some matching earrings! All findings I used for this set are sterling silver. This set is simply gorgeous!
