The view of Beehive at Sand Beach. I photograph Beehive because I remember hiking this mountain as a child with College Of Atlantic Summer camp when i was entering the third grade. the camp counselor said," Just don't look down." I was thinking back of my head, is this what Mom sign us up for? COA Camp was fun but back in the days COA went on the risky hikes with a bunch of third graders. This mountain will always be a story to tell.
I thought it looked well good outside tonight, so I decided to see how a picture would turn out. I really like the shadow of the tree on the snow. This was taken just after 1 a.m.
When both Cameras forget Photo of the Day inside the zoo because they are too busy photographing the lights of Holiday Magic, stomping through the high snow with the tripod switching locations, all the while trying to protect their gear from the wetness of the fast falling snow, there is no choice but to take Photo of the Day at the train station. With the incoming train in sight down the tracks, Kwanon hurried to prepare one of their cameras for the shot, while Vollenda cleared a spot of snow off of the lion, falling to the ground because the ear was still slippery. She got back up, Kwanon assisted, and they got several shots in before their train arrived, even having time to put all of the gear back in the camera bag. Now, that's teamwork!

Out at Webster for Christmas... clouds started to move in so I shifted my focus (pun intended :) ) to the lights on the shore, the reflections on the lake and Orion rising over eastern horizon.
