"Deeply impressed with the blessing which we enjoy, and of which we have manifold proofs, my mind is irresistibly drawn to that Almighty Being, the great source from whence they proceed and to whom our most grateful acknowledgments are due."
- James Monroe
this was one of the few days when we actually get some snow here in the city / the Rhine plain (one of the warmest parts of Germany) ... taken in February 2021
Not much snow here this year (so far ... and spring is definitely on its way) ... I do love snow. So I had to dig in my archive : ))
Folks, it's Friday (again) ... where has this week gone?
Happy Weekend and 1st of March, everyone !
my last picture for 2009, time to thank everybody who has visit my stream and gave all these friendly comments.
My wish for the next year, be as these ladies, head up and have fun!
happy new year to everyone of you!
Today started off at a coolish -25C but we hooked up with good friends to spend a few hours snowshoeing in Bruce Peninsula National Park - and had a great time.

...or where are you going? On the wintry ridge between Brauneck and Benediktenwand, I wanted to ask the mountain biker where he was coming from or where he was going, but I was probably so speechless at that moment that he had already passed me...a somewhat perplexed Martin remained in the scene...
P.S. I couldn't find any snow chains on his MTB :-)), current snow height at the ridge was about 80-90cm....

Dogs love snow. But, why do dogs love snow so much? Well, many dogs love snow in the way that a toddler loves snow -- it’s simply fun to play with.
Today I was on a first short snowshoeing tour since a very, very long time... the snow is really wet now, after rain in the last days and temperature more than 5°C ... today nearly 10°C. In the evening again rain and a strong wind ... but this will not be the end of winter ... ;-) ....

I'm playing already this AM. 4* and out blowing bubbles!!! I blew up one of my northern light shots and used as a background for some added color. Trying to get the hang of this art.

Haven't had much chance to play with frozen bubbles this winter, but did manage to get this picture back in November on one of the few days that was below zero. Hopefully I'll be able to get out over the next couple of days to get more!
