Snowkiting ist eine Sportart und eine Variante des Kitesailing, die man im Winter auf verschneiten, freien Flächen betreiben kann. Man benötigt dafür einen geeigneten Zugdrachen und Ski oder ein Snowboard. Bei genügend Wind lässt man den Drachen steigen und sich von ihm über den Schnee ziehen.

The Canadian Rockies mountain range spans the provinces of British Columbia and Alberta. With jagged, ice-capped peaks, glacier-fed lakes, diverse wildlife. Much of the range is protected by national and provincial parks, such as Banff, Jasper, Yoho and Kananaskis…
Here was the wondering along the Kananaskis county in the winter. The scenery is everywhere along the road driving, quite often, parked the car at the side of the road, enjoyed the majestic peaks!

The Firehole River is one of numerous beautiful features in Yellowstone. We managed to wade through the snow and photograph Firehole Falls.

Several sports can be made here in summer and winter times.
In the background the "Mueggel tower". From there you have a wonderful view over the landscape of lakes.
(My old teacher wrote a book about Rahnsdorf: "Live between the lakes")

Strandbad Müggelsee / Rahnsdorf.
Verschiedene Sportarten werden hier sommers wie winters betrieben. Im Hintergrund der Müggelturm, von dem man einen ausgezeichneten Überblick über die Seelandschaft hat.
(Mein alter Geschichtslehrer schrieb ein Buch über Rahnsdorf "Leben zwischen den Seen".)
Historie:
Als die russische Armee mit Panzern in Berlin einrückte, hörte man das Donnern in den Kellerverstecken. Die Schlacht bei den Seelower Höhen hatte beiderseitig viele Tote gefordert, nun lag Berlin vor den Russen als besiegt und man zitterte vor Angst. Unser Nachbar vis a vis, Dr. Stössel, nahm einen weißen Lappen, steckte ihn an sein Auto und fuhr den Panzern entgegen.
Dank ihm wurde Rahnsdorf verschont, wenn nicht am Ortsausgang der Schlächter mit seiner Knarre auf die Panzer gezielt hätte. Ein Schuß aus dem Panzerrohr, und sein Haus lag in Trümmern.
Unser schönes Haus (s. Foto vorher) wurde als Kommandatur eingerichtet und mir steckten die Russenfrauen Schokolade in den Mund. Es hieß ja, die Russen bringen alle Babys um!
Nur der Flügel - Omas Stolz - dem bekam der Regen im Garten nicht;-))
