"Ramblings"
North easterly wind blowing accross Start Bay and Start Point throughout christmas and the winter sea swell was looking very moody, messy, grey and a touch muddy.
No big lens with me this morning so I put the camera into DX mode to grab a shot of the black back gull.
My main driving route when heading out to Start Point or East Prawle is the Strete Gate to Startbay road that took a bit of a hammering xmas day during high tide with the main road closed for awhile sometime later I believe to clear up the debris washed over from the beach etc.
Not a one off event for this stretch of the coast as the old locals will tell you.
This area has a lot of recent and past interesting history associated with high seas and strong easterly, north easterly winds.
