While the light tries to make its way
through the menacing dark clouds
swollen with rain ...
The sea waves rise roaring,
shaken by a raging wind ....
Everything seems to be crossed
by uncontrollable and overwhelming forces ...
Tutto sembra attraversato
da forze incontrollabili e travolgenti ...

MANY THANKS TO ALL OF YOU! :)
Winter is upon us, bringing it's own subdued color palette. The colors of cold paint the Strait of Juan de Fuca and the Olympic mountains.
"One kind word can warm three winter months."

"The blue expanse of the Mediterranean,
enchanter and deceiver of audacious men,
preserve the secret of its charm ...
Under the wonderful purity of the sky at sunset "
Joseph Conrad
a walk to the sea, a few Sundays ago....
I love the sea in winter, sweet and melancholic, like the music of Nino Rota written for Amarcord by Federico Fellini
I'm sorry for the little presence in recent days
Bad headaches did not allow me to stay a long time on the computer.
Thank you everyone for your visit and wish you a happy weekend : )

This song has accompanied me for days, indeed for years, as the perennial search for solitude has always accompanied me.
Children, family, loves, friends, relatives are an important part of my life but I often look for myself in the silence of my solitude ........
After the storm the sea calms down but my soul returns to stir and I start walking on the beach waiting for the next storm.....
"And in your life, there comes a darkness
This spacecraft blocking out the sky
And there’s nowhere to hide
You run to the back and you cover your ears
But it’s the loudest sound you’ve ever heard
Now we’re trapped, we’re dark cloud people
We are helpless to resist
In your darkest hour"

While this will be a work in progress, I'm sharing my favorite all-time Flickr groups. No Rules/No Limits. They truly care about showcasing your images and your artistic perspective. They get it. Please take time to visit these groups:

Procchio / Campo all'Aia: sandy beaches among the largest on the island.
In winter they build sand walls to counteract the storms, in the image one can observe one of these sand walls.
Located within the homonymous gulf, it is enclosed between Punta Agnone and the Guardiola.
It is actually formed from the beach of Procchio, its natural extension on the right: Campo all'Aia and even further, the small beach of La Guardiola.
Procchio is formed by a fine sand, which traces a golden arch caressed by an emerald and limpid sea, especially when the southern winds blow that make the surface of the water flat.
