Blow Blow Thou Winter Wind
William Shakespeare
Blow, blow, thou winter wind,
Thou art not so unkind
As man’s ingratitude;
Thy tooth is not so keen,
Because thou art not seen,
Although thy breath be rude.
Heigh-ho! sing, heigh-ho! unto the green holly:
Most friendship is feigning, most loving mere folly:
Then, heigh-ho, the holly!
This life is most jolly.
Freeze, freeze, thou bitter sky,
That dost not bite so nigh
As benefits forgot:
Though thou the waters warp,
Thy sting is not so sharp
As friend remembered not.
Heigh-ho! sing, heigh-ho! unto the green holly...
Appears in As You Like It, Act II Scene VII.
The London Road Viaduct is a brick railway viaduct in Brighton, part of the city of Brighton and Hove in East Sussex, England. Built in the 1840s for the Brighton, Lewes and Hastings Railway by the locomotive engineer and railway architect John Urpeth Rastrick, the sharply curving structure has 27 arches and about 10 million bricks. It is still in constant use, and is listed at Grade II* for its historical and architectural significance. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/London_Road_viaduct

Winter tightens its grip as ice builds in the river. Haven't been around lately, hope to visit soon. Thanks for looking.
Morning mist sits over this Welsh valley. The foreground grasses are flooded but a hard frost made the valley passable.

It is difficult to comprehend the feeling of worry & tumult that I can't help absorbing from the chaotic events in the news each day. The beauty of Mother Nature (if we don't destroy her) provides solace, for it seems that this is truly ... "The winter of our discontent." ~ William Shakespeare
Hope seems tenuous, but I can't stop believing that the spirit of love will overcome all the hatred that has been unleashed ... "No winter lasts forever; no spring skips it turn." ~ Hal Borland
Winter has finally settled in and I had the chance to play with my camera and the snowfall in the garden. We used to have snow in November few years ago but we all know what's happening with our mother nature.
Wishing all of you a wonderful Sunday.
