I bought this little mouse charm over the holidays then put him away. Or I thought I did. I found him in the garden when I was doing the spring cleaning, all covered in dirt. I don't know how he got there, but am glad I found him good as new. I took a photo of him from the front but thought the back view was cuter -- love that little tail.
Macro Monday - Windowsill
A dandelion seed caught on a web on my conservatory outside windowsill.....that obviously needs a wipe down !!!
Today Dot finally noticed the squirrel who frequents the hedge between our place and the neighbor's house.
Said squirrel can be seen raiding the neighbor's bird feeder, feasting on huckleberry flowers and darting across the lawn going "cheep!, cheep!, cheep!, cheep!, cheep!"
At the time I took this photo, squirrel was cheeping non-stop, probably because it was looking at Dot.
It's only because the squirrel spends most the time hidden in the hedge that Dot hasn't established a permanent vigil on the windowsill.

When not on my wrist he lives on my window cill (how I'm used to seeing it spelled) this 'ancient' Citizen Eco-drive. He must be over 30 by now and still taking his charge from any light source and keeping good time too.
A Maranta Leuconeura 'Fascinator' which does well in our bathroom.
I spent ages dusting its leaves ready for the photo! 😊

In memory of Dan Thomson, the only man I knew who still loved to play in the dirt. Thank you for unearthing relics from our past, whether they were bottles, insulators, or arrowheads. As the years pass by and this old bottle takes on a deeper hue, I will always think of you.
