I find it more than a little distasteful that after spending plenty of money on an airline ticket and being treated like cattle in the chaotic terminals, we're bombarded with advertising on-board the plane. First the little TV screens came down and told us to stay at Hilton Hotels, drive Avis rental cars and visit Las Vegas, and then I open the tray table and am confronted with this ad from AT&T, HTC and Microsoft. US Airways - have I mentioned that I hate them?

The reviews are trickling in for Windows Mobile 6.5 and it ain't pretty. In the spirit of Windows innovation, here's a video showing the progression of the Windows Phone over the years.

So how do the people at Gizmodo feel about MIcrosoft's latest progression? Here's a quote:

"In the time since Windows Mobile 6.0 came out in February of 2007, Apple has released the iPhone — three times. Palm has created the Pre, with its totally new webOS. Android has come into being, and grown into something wonderful. RIM has created a touch phone and a revamped BlackBerry OS. For these companies, the world has changed."

"And Microsoft? They eked out some performance enhancements and a new homescreen in 6.1, and executed a gaudy facelift for 6.5. This is what they’ve done to Windows Mobile."

Yikes! Don't sugarcoat it, dude, tell us what you really think!
