Taken in Furillen

What is Furillen to me?

Furillen is a place where I come to relax, wander and think.

There I can find the peace I need to let my mind

dwelve within myself, meditate, reflect on life.

For me, the beauty of this place resides mainly in its simplicity.

The vastness leaves a lot of space for thoughts, or words

if you come across another wandering soul :)

So Furillen is like a window that somehow

helps to put things in perspective and see more clearly...

This is the downtown Presbyterian Church in Nashville. It is a lovely church with unique architecture and beautiful stained glass.

HWW!

Window light illuminates a floral display in the parish church of St. Peter, Ridlington Norfolk.

The subdued lighting inside the church creates a feeling of stillness and isolation from the outside world.

The Chilehaus (Chile House) with its 2.800 windows is a ten-story office building and was one of the first "high rise buildings" in Hamburg, Germany. It is located in the Kontorhausviertel and is an exceptional example of the 1920s Brick Expressionism style of architecture.

It was designed by the architect Fritz Höger and built between 1922 and 1924.

It was commissioned by the shipping magnate Henry B. Sloman, who made his fortune trading saltpeter from Chile, hence the name Chile House. The cost of construction is difficult to determine, as the Chile House was built during the period of hyperinflation that struck Germany during the early 1920s, but is estimated to have been more than 10 million reichsmark.
