Original windows restored by owner. Makes all the difference in maintaining the charm of vintage homes. This particular owner replaced existing, but unrestorable, windows with new wood windows custom made to made those casements in restorable condition.

Peeking through the windows of an abandoned house is like stealing a glimpse into a life once lived.
I was really hoping to capture more detail of some old photographs that were curling and fading on top of a bookshelf just inside the windowpane. Unfortunately, using a medium format camera is a challenge when the subject is elevated, as you have to get up even higher to be able to look down through the viewfinder. I did actually climb up on the outside air conditioner unit, but you can see from the images below that this still wasn't quite enough height. Good fun though.
I love the old fashioned pub interiors in central London. The frosted windows alone are a subject worth photographing
