Mt. Fremont Lookout in Mt. Rainier National Park. I find more often than not that when I go to Rainier, I end up taking photos of everything else other than the mountain itself. It's hard capturing that kind of immensity from so near.
Taken at Brunico - Val Pusteria - Italy

I promise to keep myself open to you,
to let you see through the window of my world into my innermost
fears and feelings, secrets and dreams. a part of a poem by Dorothy R. Colgane
our eyes are
the windows to our soul
they show our
innermost feelings
our fears
our dreams
we may try
and hide
this doorway
but it is not
possible
there is something
to be said
for someone
who is transparent
or lives with their
heart on their sleeve
but to truly view
a person
for who they are
look into their eyes
do not let
the clouds
dim the beauty
or let tears
wash away the
hopes that lie
inside
but look toward
the light
and see how
you sparkle
with life
show us who
you are
and show yourself
that you are worth
becoming all
you ever dreamed
of being
