The wooden panelling on the old Station House at the Tungelsta commuter station is called Fiskfjäll.

The ubiquitous bricks make me nervous, quake-wise; but this is so common, it shouldn't really. Just part of the city story - like the satellite TV dish perched for a southeastern angle...)

MOST OFTEN PEOPLE STARE AT THE WINDOWS LOST IN THOUGHTS. THIS IS ONE SUCH MOMENT WHEN I WAS IN LALA LAND AND SUDDENLY THE WINDOW ITSELF CAUGHT MY ATTENTION. STRANGE LIFE!

Taken at Little Falls Dam, WA
The salmon came up to the river in full force up to the time . . . when the Washington Water Power Company built Little Falls Dam. . . When Little Falls Dam went in, it stopped the salmon from migrating up river when it was finished in 1911. The salmon carried on for quite a few years after that below the dam . . . until Grand Coulee went in and that was the end of it.
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Little Falls is situated in a remote setting with minimal residential development. Excellent views of the Little Falls spillway can be obtained from two bridges just south of the dam. Bald eagles and osprey can be seen along the five mile stretch of river between Little Falls and Avista's Long Lake development.
