A window of the Barneys New York Shinjuku store during the 2008 winter holidays. The window is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the peace sign.
East window by Frederick Preedy 1861.
St Mary & St Milburga's church in Offenham retains its handsome 15th century west tower, but the rest of the medieval building was completely rebuilt in 1861-2 to the designs of Frederick Preedy, the well known Worcestershire architect who was born in the village. Preedy was also responsible for the design of the furnishings and in particular the stained glass so the interior we see today is very much his vision (only the font remains from the old church).
The church is normally open and welcoming to visitors.

I've not had much time to shoot this week with an out-of-town client and fine-turning a new listing. I pulled this out of the achives from last summer's project of shooting Rochester window and doors.

Optics: 100mm f/2.8 Nikon E Series at f/4 I think. Polarizer used as well.
Strobist Info: SB-24 into reflector umbrella camera-right. White flat camera-left to reflect light back, lightening up the dark side a bit. Another SB-24 off camera left a few feet behind the model for hair/rim light. The flat was used like a flag to also block flare from the rim light.

I know this is not a special shot or anything ,, but its special for me coz its remind me by the first day I had the camera ..
there was nothing to take a shot of .. so I look through my window in the "Lakside" and I liked the sky ..
This collection of windows awaits installation at one of Toronto's West Donlands building projects. It must be worth a lot. I know. Several years ago we replaced all the windows in our century home and the job didn't come cheap.
Incidentally, from time to time I reflect on the miracle of windows. For most of mankind's history we didn't have glass windows to let in the light and keep out the weather. Thank goodness for glass.

There was a fat white rabbit in my yard today. Then a little baby bunny hopped in to join the rabbit... I thought Punkin was going to hit the roof! Just to put Punkin over the edge, a large hawk swooped down into the yard in hopes of catching the bunny... but the bunny hid in the bushes just in time. Good bunny! Needless to say, Punkin spent most of the morning window shopping for things that he cannot have.
*The house is getting new floors so this is just the naked sub-floor waiting to have the real stuff put down.
