PacSun USA Surf Team Wins GOLD Medal at World Games!!
For the first time in 13 years, team USA has shown the world who is on top. Coach Ian Cairns led the team to victory, but it was the solid surfing and hard work that each team member put in for eight long days that paid off in the end. With all countries putting on valiant efforts, Team USA went into the final day of competition with a strong lead against France, Australia and Hawaii who finished the event 2nd, 3rd, and 4th respectively.
Playa Hermosa was packed with spectators all week, but saw record crowds on the final day of competition, despite the scorching temps. It was these scorching temps that made the eight days of competition so tough on every team. But Team USA stayed focused and calm as they surfed heat by heat brilliantly, with five members of the team reaching the Finals.
Congratulations to PacSun USA Surf Team for their commitment, dedication and hard work!

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will likely benefit the most from early elections in Israel. That’s according to a pair of public opinion polls released Thursday. One of the polls, commissioned and published by the Maariv newspaper, projects Netanyahu's Likud party increasing its seats in the Knesset from 27 to 29.
According to both polls, the biggest loser in early elections is designated Defense Minister Ehud Barak. The surveys predict that his Independence party may not even pass the threshold needed to enter the Knesset.
Governments are instituted by God (Romans 13:1) for structure and to protect the people they serve. In democracies such as those in the United States and Israel, the people are privileged to be able to choose those who serve as their leaders. Pray for the current and prospective Israeli leaders and for the upcoming election in the Jewish nation.
