Another shot on the abandoned rail tracks near the Euro-Industriepark - nature is conquering them back...
Since the photo is from 2017: in the meanwhile these tracks have been removed.

Oh it's on, the Blue Jays won't know what hit 'em! Four game sweep with the Mariners averaging 12 runs a game while pitching four straight perfect games, Vlad Jr. won't know what side of the plate to stand on, or, the opposite could happen. :)
The Seattle Mariners have never been to the world series in their entire existence and we fans are at the point, do we dare hope? Just once dear Lord, before I die, can we win it all?....
take a look around in here and feel the pain, anguish, hope, NEED...... For the record we lost this playoff game in 18 innings one to nil sending us home, once again, crushed.
With heartfelt and genuine thanks for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day, be well, keep your eyes open, appreciate the beauty surrounding you, enjoy creating, stay safe and laugh often! ❤️❤️❤️
St. Albans Spring Festival. I was asking myself who would want to win this? But who I am to make judgments in matters of taste? Leica M8, Voigtlander AS 2.8/90.
“Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. Hate multiplies hate, violence multiplies violence, and toughness multiplies toughness in a descending spiral of destruction. So when Jesus says “Love your enemies,” he is setting forth a profound and ultimately inescapable admonition. Have we not come to such an impasse in the modern world that we must love our enemies– or else? The chain reaction of evil–hate begetting hate, wars producing wars–must be broken, or we shall be plunged into the dark abyss of annihilation.”

"Double-Win" .... yesterday as the southbound Lake State road train had a pair of slug sets doing the work - nice to see four units together in the new image paint - here near Rose Center, Michigan on February 8, 2020.
The doll is named Ling and is made by a company called Karito--there are 6 dolls of different ethnic heritages who come with passports and a book that has a story and journal which creates a personality for each individual doll. Ling is Chinese--I've already gotten another doll for Genevieve, Pita from Mexico. Karito has its own website for kids where they can play games (they win points which allows them to contribute to humanitarian projects they'd like to help), read and post blogs & messages, learn about other countries, get their own online passport which gets stamped when games are played, and are encouraged to try to "save the world" by helping others--another important feature is that the children can pick one of four designated charities and donate 3% of the doll's price.

Well, I missed out on the IDULB with the SP-leader because of this, but honestly, I think a TFM 70MAC on the point in good sun is an acceptable tradeoff. This is the TFM 1619 on the head end of the MWTKC 07 at Midland, just (railroad) west of Lawrence.
"Think for a bit about the nature of light. Light is something very special. Now, think about the nature of dark. Sometimes we are tricked into believing that light and darkness are equal, but they just are not. And there’s such a lesson there.
Light is energy and truth and beauty and illumination and brilliance. Love.
Darkness is simply a lack of light. It is nothing else.
There are things in life that try to trick us the same way, somehow making us believe that they are bigger and scarier than they are. Fears are this way. Lies are this way. Fears and lies LOVE to grow in the dark.
Light always wins. A tiny light can put out the biggest dark, but dark never has the power to put out light. Truth always wins. Love always wins.
So when there is a choice to be made, bring it into the light. Stay in the light and step out of the dark when you find you have been pulled that direction. Choose truth, choose love. Always always always go where the peace is. Always choose the light.'

Dear friends,
I apologize for not having shared any new photos in quite some time. Unfortunately, a series of challenges arose, leaving me with no time for photography. Currently, my country is under attack by Russia, and the circumstances are dire. My family and I are hoping to survive through these trying times.
I extend my wishes for peace to everyone.
Warmest regards,
Roman

I stood here photographing the wonderful pre-dawn colour (which didn't really work photographically). Then I decided around sunrise that the clouds looked better in the other direction so ran to the top of Win Hill Pike. After a few shots I realised I wasn't happy there so ran back here to photograph the scene around half an hour after sunrise. I should have stayed put.
Une ambiance familiale et très conviviale.
