The European brown bear

In Scandinavian Wildlife Park you will meet the European brown bear, but there are brown bears all over the world. There are some size and color differences, and they are called different names; in Canada and Alaska they are called Kodiak and Grizzly bears, and in Russia they are called Kamchatka bears. But it’s essentially the same brown bear that lives all over the world.

The Bear Park

Get overwhelmed by our fantastic 2.5 hectare big Bear Park with caves, hills, trees and lots of water. The Bear Park is quite unique and one of the World’s largest, so our bears are very lucky!

These are plentiful in the city and I almost feel bad for using the word wildlife.

The Smøla willow ptarmigan is a subspecies of the willow ptarmigan, endemic to islands off the Trondheimsfjord.

Unlike the willow ptarmigan, which transitions to an entirely white plumage in winter, the Smøla willow ptarmigan retains some brown-speckled feathers in its winter coat.

Dear deer, i see you near

I see hiding, filled with fear

I see you watching, through the grass

As the sun above, does pass

Beautiful, nature surrounds your face

Your heart does pound, it does race

As you hide filled with fear

Dear deer, i see you near

Can't fence me in!

I find it is much easier to capture wildlife that isn’t moving. I tried to capture a vulture in flight but just got a mesmerizing photo of his rear end with some wings. I’ll leave all this difficult photography to you experts.

Interesting information about this Moose Lodge. There isn’t a grocery store within 25 miles of me, but I can drive half that distance to find a Moose Lodge in the middle of nowhere. I wonder how many Moose live around here?

For any bird enthusiasts you can find all my birds in this album. www.flickr.com/gp/133461395@N08/1mhq899U15

Cranberry Marsh, Whitby/Ajax ON

We left Eilean Donan Castle and headed for our digs. When we arrived we were all tired and did little more than unpack. Looking out of the window this guy and a few others were spotted in the grass. He obliged and let me take has photo.

Many day s there is nothing to see and happening. Then I saw an egret in a field of goose. Then sudden 4 roe deer running , they came out of the forest I think , Looks like the egret is looking and thinking, what s the hurry?
