We just had to take a gondola ride, no matter that it was quite expensive. We got to see a very different side to the city by doing so.

Finally got some better weather over the last few days and managed to get use of a car.
Was grateful for the wide angle lens as the sun was setting almost out of the shot. This groyne is labelled number 4 hence the title.
Had great light last night too and now the rain and wind are on for the next few days.

Taken with an extraordinary lens - the SMC Takumar 15mm f:3.5, which appeared in 1975 at the very end of Pentax's screw-mount era. It was continued as the SMC Pentax 15mm f:3.5, with a bayonet-mount.

A variation on a theme those of you that know my stream will have seen an image entitled Dark, i have always thought this could be improved on.
This is i hope a better version i was out in Westwood's again this morning and conditions could have been better but i managed to get some shots that are worth posting I will post more in the week. Alfie is desperate for a walk so got this done a bit quick i hope you enjoy
During lockdown I used the allowed hour for walks outside to explore my local area.
Fortunately there is a river only 15mins walk away and I've been hearing kingfishers along it for weeks.
This perch is a favourite spot for them as it overlooks a calm pool of water for fishing. I noticed as it had a load of poo splashed on the leaves below it!
So I left a camera buried in the foliage for a couple of days with a sensor to trigger it, and this was the result... :)
