And perhaps Dr. Johnson would've said the same about photography. So what? I'll continue this photographic odyssey anyway, despite the fact that there's no money, fame or even notoriety in it for me. I did earn a pittance from one photo last year. A chap at a British real estate company asked to use one of my older shots in an advertising brochure. Without a whole lot of confidence, I asked for $20 as the licensing fee. He/they magnanimously sent a cheque for 25 pounds, which converted into almost $40. So ... at least I can say I wasn't skunked.
(Oh oh, hope the IRS folks don't see this.)
