I had 25 years ago copied by camera some photos lent me by Mr. Donald L. Whynot, late of Bridgewater, Nova Scotia. He is on the left, as fireman, with Manfred Hebb at right, on the controls, about 1953, he told me. He later became an engineer.
He was in our church choir and also played fiddle. Told me some tales of the rails on the former Halifax & Southwestern, ultimately the South Shore line of CN in NS.
