Wells harbour was looking mighty fine on our early morning trip there. When we arrived there was nobody about which was lucky as the place is another of the places that get busy quickly.

Our book shelves are really full..... This macro shows, continually pulling them out by the spine is not a good thing.... But shows they are well used...
Between moving to and fro on the morning's list, E&LS 400 pauses at Wells while A451 approaches Groos.
Not what I originally intended but with bare trees the light was just too harsh, nothing really to get the reflective bokeh I was looking for, oh well

HAPPY WINDOW WEDNESDAY(S) !!
Peculiar round windows in an exterior wall of a high-level international bank. The wall is covered wtih what appear to be "thin bricks" of marble. In order to create an abstract, surreal image, I have inverted the section of wall with its windows. .
Location: International Bank of Settlements, Basel BS Switzerland.
In my album: Dan's Windows.

A very well fed, comfortable seal pup at Donna Nook, Lincolnshire.
Clearly used to having people nearby. This pup's eye contact was incredible.
Nice to be out with my camera again. xx

, an astronomical clock from about 1325, believed to be the work of Peter Lightfoot, a monk of Glastonbury.[129] Its mechanism, dated to between 1386 and 1392, was replaced in the 19th century, and the original mechanism moved to the Science Museum in London, where it continues to operate. It is the second-oldest surviving clock in England,
The clock has its original medieval face. As well as showing the time on a 24-hour dial, it reflects the motion of the Sun and Moon, the phases of the Moon, and the time since the last new Moon. The astronomical dial represents a geocentric or pre-Copernican view of the universe, with the Sun and Moon revolving round a central fixed Earth,

Sunbridge Wells in Bradford, West Yorkshire has been in use since the 13th century. It started life as a quarry but has a really interesting history since then. It’s many uses include air raid shelter, rubbish dump, night club and more recently a nighttime shopping and entertainment complex. When it was a nightclub many famous people started their careers there, including Rod Stewart, Julie Driscoll, Long John Baldry, Brian Auger and Ginger Baker, far too many to list here.
