Taken for Active Assignment Weekly for the week of August 11th to the 18th. The assignment:
Your assignment is to photograph decay. It could be that rusting car in the driveway, the house down the road in disrepair, the abandoned building near work or...
Decay can be defined in many ways - "To break down into component parts; rot.", "To fall into ruin", "To decline in health or vigor; waste away" or "To decline from a state of normality, excellence, or prosperity; deteriorate".
Restrictions: Post processing allowed for basic (lighting, levels, shadows etc) adjustments and cropping.
Dare: Rather than the ordinary examples I offered above capture Social Decay.
WIT: A very scary journey to the dark depths of my basement to search out the fabled rust on my water heater. I knew it was there, I just like to ignore it as long as possible. Saturation brought up a tad in Picasa. I plan to follow the dare in my next submission.
