Teddy was rescued from the shelter 11 years ago this weekend. Not realizing it was all part of his quiet, sweet and polite nature, we thought he seemed lonely and sometimes melancholy. We interpreted that to mean that he might have been missing a buddy, and we spent some time in search of the perfect companion for him—one with a gentle and equally sweet personality. On a visit to the same shelter a year to the day when we first met Teddy, we found little 7 week-old Ollie. All along, I had hoped to bring home an older female cat, but as some of you may have heard before, a wink from the kitten that looked so much like a mountain lion in miniature won me over at first sight. Long story short, it seems that Teddy may have been perfectly content as a ‘single kitty’...lol...but it’s often clear that he loves his pesky buddy just the same...
This is a shot of the boys on ‘their’ bed this morning...haha, yes, it’s very ‘girly’...but it does match their pink noses...lol ;-)
They’ve been hanging out together a lot lately, just like they used to when they were both new around here. It never fails to make me smile...
Well it's the start of the weekend and it's going to be hot, hot, hot, 40°c tomorrow. I hope everyone has a great weekend wherever you are. Keep smiling, stay safe and keep warm for those on the other side of the world.
The three of us had a great time on our weekend road trip traveling from NorCal to SoCal for the Raider game.

On our last weekend in the country some friends came to hang out with us. I just happened to have the 70-300 mm on the camera and grabbed a bunch of portraits.

Since 1997, Walt Disney World has sponsored a series of special Star Wars Weekends at Hollywood Studios. Last weekend opened this year's events.
Here the Stormtroopers stand guard at the enterance.
So I biffed it while playing basketball with Jona. We both went for the ball, I got bumped and down I went. But that wasn't going to ruin the weekend we had planned. Poolside in Park City, horseback riding, sitting by the fire. This was a little getaway for Emma's birthday weekend. It was great. We all had a grand time.

A wee photo from last night's shoot with the new Glasgow band, Weekend Wars. Thought that we'd try something a little different to the average "four lads looking cool." Took a bit of work and more than a little improvisation, but it came out looking pretty good I reckon! The water was about knee deep where they were standing. Just a quick-and-dirty edit for now….
Two flashes: one CTO gelled to camera right, one back left (thanks for wading in so deep for that Robbie!), both triggered with PWs, no mods.

Enjoyed my last day of the family day long weekend today. Kath was away visiting friends in NYC so I had the entire weekend to myself in Toronto. Even had the chance to pick up some old cameras that I've forsaken since going compact. I've had no regrets going compact but I still haven't found a lens i love as much as Canon's FF 35L. Easily my favourite 35mm lens of all time. Admittedly I haven't shot with a Leica Summilux yet. One day maybe, in a future long weekend where I find manual focusing fun.
I've heard good things about the new Olympus 17mm f1.8 but think I might wait for the Fujinon 23mm 1.4 f1.4 to be finally released. Until then I have my trustly 35L, I just wish it was smaller.
