This may be my favorite week's worth of photos yet. I know I went a a little overboard, but there were just so many amazing moments. For me, this week was really reassuring -- I can have a life outside the house and still receive all this love and joy when I get home. Doug & Teo are getting on so well together -- they have their own rhythm and rituals. But Matteo still wants and needs his mama, too. Proud of the secure attachment and deep bond we've created between the three of us... I can tell it is already producing a confident, curious, and resilient kid.
In terms of milestones... This week was all about self-possession. Now that Matteo can crawl like a pro, he is able to act on his interests and go after them. This requires even more vigilance from his exhausted parents (yup, he still sucks at sleeping) -- but it is thrilling to watch.
We closed out the week with a trip to the Washington County Fair, where Matteo finally got up close and personal with his most beloved farm animals -- chickens. He was awe struck as the hens clucked and roosters cock-a-doodled all around us! Teo went on his very first pony ride, which was funfor the first two trips around the ring, but apparently boring thereafter.
The most magical moment at the fair was when Matteo met his first cow. The owner was kind enough to take the beautiful beefalo Heifer out of her pen so that Matteo could pet her and get some bovine kisses. The cow couldn't get enough of Matteo's gentle petting -- a skill he is slowly learning thanks to Caya's incredible patience with him. Teo and I both made a pretty soulful connection with that cow -- and we hope there are more like her in our pastoral future..,

I am thankful for the cross and for what Jesus did for me! :)
sometimes I can't bear living with myself.
[I am mad at flickr for making the colours of my photos duller than they are.]
San Francisco Fleet Week 2016 finished with a bang on Sunday, with another spectacular airshow, featuring (among others) the Bretling Jet Team, The Patriots, and the Blue Angels, who were competing to see who could get the most "wow" moments with the crowd!

I am grateful for the beauty every season brings. As the last of the summer flowers bloom & the first of the fall leaves are beginning to fall, I am grateful for each precious memory from each season as it comes and goes :)
This old tree grows up and out in the Glenwood Cemetery in Houston, TX. I can't walk past trees without admiring their wonderful structures.

EP Project Week 35/52 ~ "Fruit"
So I was testing a prop in front of this backdrop and decided to do the weeks theme. So how do a camera and an apple tie in together to this weeks theme you ask? Nothing, nada, zilch! Just thought the apple looked lonely so I added the camera. LOL
Hope everyone is enjoying your LONG Labor Day weekend.
Hugs to all

Monday 27th May- May 3rd June
It's June now and there are only three weeks left of this project. It doesn't feel like nearly a year ago that I decided to undertake this and yet so much has happened and changed that it could have been half my life.
Coming back after holiday and diving straight back into my new job was difficult, so much happens in a week down on the farm that it was a struggle to catch up. On top of that we had some more bad news about my nan's condition and I had to pack my room up ready to move out this weekend. It was a busy jump back into reality after the relaxation of Menorca. Today at work I had a bit of a break down (very embarrassing) and I have come to the conclusion that being as busy as I am, photography is a happy release out...not that I have any time to pursue it currently (as you can see by the quality of my last few photos!)
I took this photo mid way through packing up boxes and contemplating change. It fits with my mood even better than planned though due to the tears that were shed at work and the constant thoughts about which items were packed into which bag?!
It will all be sorted come this Friday though- moving day looms ever closer and the excitement builds!
This week is food time, fresh after having his tea is when Charlie is happiest. I've been experimenting with some black and white photography processing, steering away from the darker style and using a lighter more vintage look.
I toyed with the idea of photoshopping out the dried food on his face, but I think it adds to the character of this photograph.

One downside of going over to your mates place for a sunday roast?
Spending 7 hours there drinking ridiculous amounts of wine and almost forgetting about that bloody picture you've been putting off all week!!

Struggling for time and not having any decent software for editing this weeks challenge , a failure so early anyway decided to play a joker for this one and I have posted a shot from Sunday when we visited family on the solway coast.
Only 30 mins earlier we drove on this road before the high tide made it's way up and closed the road .Luckily we could get home on a different road .
