A case of poor background? Hard to see the 'subject', which is why I did not as I passed close by. Possibly a Red Diamondback? Sharon would know, maybe when she gets back we will know!
The winter seems to start at last. The sea got its ice just this week.
Maybe this new year is like this new ice: edgy and fragile, but also strenghtening, smooth and beautiful. And it may seem "all the same", but if look closely you find all those shades and different spots. Just like in life.
In Japan, there is a big holiday season in the late of April and the beginning of May. It's called 'Golden Week'.

Week 3/52
Daydreaming of good things to come. There will always be those grey clouds that fog your hopes and dreams, but the sunshine is just beyond the mist.
...
I had hopes of shooting outside today, but the weather was miserable, so instead I made a fort of clouds in the living room.

I'm on a mission to complete the 52 week photo challenge, to capture at least 1 photo a week for a whole year.

Are you terrified of my menacing boy?
Mr. Milo just loves to lie on his back all the time, just hoping to get a belly rub.
At the location of our car shoot. As we were leaving the car was behind us and throwing some cool shadows on the wall so I shot this of me and Todd for my 52 week. I will be putting up some more car shots this week. It was a fun shoot.

Thank you so much friends
Stepped out my back door just after 5am to capture this beauty. Never get tired of sunrises and sunsets :)

Vedrete prossimamente!
On air: Summertime Sadness - Lana del Rey.
Things that bring me joy. Family, home, nature, being creative, being helpful, and 52 week projects. :)
I've haven't been this proud of myself in a very long time. I've made it half way through my 52 week!
You guys never really like my hair flip shots, but I love this too much for words. The light was so beautiful, it went away so quickly though that I only had time for about three shots.
Ironically, this is inspired by Rona, one of the best photographers on flickr in my opinion (she's tagged!). I say ironically, because she's one of the reasons I even started this 52 week, and I think that it's really cool that this shoot happened to fall on my half way mark!
+1 in comments, it's the same one in black and white, it was super hard to choose! Many more outtakes from this day to come.
Week #12 Metal - The Haywagon. This old pick up is still working today! Only it is feeding horses on a farm. Best I can tell, it is a late 1940s Ford F1 pick-up truck. This was shot on a beautiful fresh sunny afternoon. (A little chilly!) A little tweaking was done in Aftershot Pro.
knowing that I couldn’t
made me realize that I can.
this time I’ll make it
I finished all the commissioned photos I had to edit that week and could cross out another thing on my to do list, which felt really good.
I spent too much time for my own good thinking about photos I haven’t taken yet.
and I had fun times with my friends. :)

We grow up, we move away, we come back.
We lie, we get lied to, we lie to ourselves.
We're happy, we're sad.
We go on adventures, we stay on the couch.
we fail, we succeed

Was given this as a gift and thought it might prove useful for this weeks theme, as well as looking pretty! Hopefully you know what it is.
Week 6 is Alley and there aren't many proper alleys here in Bedford I have to admit. However, I remembered there's one or two near Castle Road and found this.
It's a bit of a snap to be honest, or at least I feel it is, I've deliberately tried to accentuate the walls narrowing toward the lamp post and beyond and the fact it's a wet day adds some atmosphere with wet surfaces, reflections and threatening cloud from above. Perfect for some monochrome shooting!
