With a 7 weeks late I´m still on the game for finishing this project.
Just move to outside at night and with the inspiration on Dustin Diaz.

Thanks for the great contest!
Week 9 of 52.
My marathon training this past week had to be reduced due to a hamstring injury. While going through my options for helping it heal, and preventing further injuries, I decided to start performing yoga again in my basement.
The lucha libre was, well, just for fun :)
Well this was a definite challenge. I had no idea what a composite was when I started. This week was my daughters cheer competition in Abbotsford. As I thought about what I wanted to accomplish for a composite, I thought I would take the my daugheter's eye and expand the pupil and add a cheer image. Well I am not yet advanced enough to do this but after about 3-4 hours and experimentation with a brand new program to me this is what I came up with. I am happy with this first attempt at a composite image.

Sorry so late! computer crashed this weekend!

this weeks symptoms include:
morning sickness
exhaustion
i'll be so glad when the first trimester is over. D:
I took this last Monday, as well as a bunch of others. I wished I could've gotten more color but everything is just very white right now, especially after we got about two feet of snow on Wednesday!
I have another version of this photo which I will post in comments once I figure out how to. I kind of like this desaturated version but I wish it was a bit more colorful considering my one from last week was completely black and white.
Home! Not sure how long for (have been in hospital for last two weeks with high blood pressure). On bed rest (well, taking a quick photo didn't hurt) but twins are doing well which is the main thing.
Just hope I can hold on for a few more weeks now... It's a balancing act between their well-being and mine.
My fifty-two weeks from last week, I only just got the chance to edit it. I have spring break this week, so hopefully I'll get to do a couple of good shoots.
Bring out the big tent – the circus is in town! Boys & Girls Nite Out is the annual highlight of Boys & Girls Club Week. The Club was transformed into a carnival with food and games like “Chicken in the Pot” and “Ring Toss” where hundreds of Club members (and the volunteers they're paired with) win prizes! Performers from Circus Circus Reno joined in the fun with their world-famous stage show.

Not what I would consider my best work but I had to learn new skills to pull this together so I count it as a 'win' in the end. I figure that's what this challenge is all about, right?
As an FYI, both images are the same horse. The younger version is Stormy at a few days old taken in March, 2007 and the older one is Stormy as shot this afternoon. It's been a joy and a privilege to share the past 10 years with him
As another aside, I left the camera set up near the horse trailer I was using as my mirror while I brought Stormy back to the pasture and pulled his sister, Fancy, out to try the same shot. (I may post that one later once I've had a chance to work on it.) I heard a sound behind me and turned to see a young bald eagle land behind us, not 15 feet away. It called again, sat and stared at me, then took off in a nice, slow graceful climb. AND NO STINKIN' CAMERA!!!! I saw him (or her) again later and got some nice tiny shots you have to massively crop just to tell the dark bird really was an eagle. But, by the time I got to the area he was hanging in? He had flown out of sight. Lol! Really?!
A monochrome version of a shot from earlier in the week of one of my high school students, converted to black & white.
Strobist- Lighting didn't work as I had envisioned, but we had 2 SB900's in small Honl grids overhead camera left & right, and another SB900 fired through a small soft box. I wish I had cranked up the one in the soft box and turned down the overheads . . . live and learn!
March 14-25
Aspen and Raven. Since, in Aspen's words, "I have wheels, so I'm usually able to come and model for you. So yay for cars! :D
I was sick last week and then I was sick almost this whole week. Week 12 of 2011 basically sucked.
I did get to read John Green's amazing book "Paper Towns" though. I didn't particularly like the Margo character as a person/friend but I LOVED Q's group of friends. They were great. The book was really enjoyable, (in comparison to Huck Fin which is currently the bane of my existence...)
This idea was originally supposed to be a something related to the theme of flower children/flowers in the hair/wild child/etc... and i guess this photo still is with that theme, but it isn't the specific idea in mind. I like it better then the other options. I will have outtakes on my fan page on facebook, and at some point i will upload some of them on flickr.
I haven't finished a roll of film in March. It feels weird.

Well, this is Fiona. She's so beautiful & she is a Paramore fan, too!! :D
The day was great. We went to a little forest the day before & I said "Fiona, I wanna take photos, here. You will be with me!" So we went some days after this, to the forest again & took some photos. I have sooo much great pictures of her, now. :D This is one of my favourites.

The last (:D) week was okay. I had so much to do for school & it was the first week after the school started again.

This is Red, and he's been in my life for 36 years now. He's a tad bit older than me, but it's my oldest, and first stuffed animal I have. Red has never been lost, even travelling with me throughout my life. My Dad did try to keep him once ("i'll keep him safe so you can have him when you're older"), but I was able to sneak him back into my life.
Red started out in California, made more than one road trip to Texas, then a move to Kentucky, followed to Quebec City, and now here in Halifax. Tomorrow, he'll be packed up again for a move to Montreal.
Even though he's an old guy, he's been there through everything, and I'm glad that he's still here to move again with me.
In which I show off my new ice spikes and wish I'd brought my old crampons with me.

52 Week Photo Challenge
Canon EOS 20D and a mounted flash. Shot using a remote against my bedroom wall, white diffuser above my head and a gold reflector to the right.
I decided to do a 10 week old pic showing the girls in their natural habitat outside. I can't wait for them to start laying me some pretty eggs. It can be anywhere from 14 weeks to 30 weeks from what I've heard. Ali and Ari should lay blue/green or even pink eggs and Mary and Molly should lay dark chocolate brown eggs.

Misha Barkton taught herself that trick to get attention. We always have to cook a hot dog for her.
A huge thank you to everyone who voted for me last week; you guys are awesome!
PS. I don't know what is up with the beer bottle. It was really there. I guess the sun was hitting it at a weird angle!
Depth of Field or depth of focus - as this image shows, three alcoholic drinks and you lose your depth of focus ;)
International Housekeepers Week (Sept. 12-18) provided a wonderful opportunity to recognize and thank the more than 700 hard-working housekeeping staff who have continued to keep our sites clean and safe for patients, residents and staff during the most challenging of times. Here are a few of the photos submitted. Eloi 'Eli' Sabacan works at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria. He was singled out as one of Island Health's Real-Life Heroes on Humanitarian Day.
