The little dog at the centre of the "Wee McAsh" Children's book "Wee McAsh to the Rescue" written and illustrated by Amanda Sunderland at the Isle of Whithorn, SW Scotland
This tiny mushroom is about 1/2 an inch high and I had to lean the tripod against the log with the camera grip right against it in order to get this shot. Not sure of the species, but it was too cute to pass by, sticking out of that little hole.
Just my luck, we had blue skies for the tournament the day before. I had to settle for cloudy skies. It was fun though! ;)
more from my wee tootie shoots.
i went into this shoot with the many more ideas (and head accessories) but the weather was THAT cold that after 20 photographs, my body shut down and i started shaking beyond my control! i had to give up and go home. As soon as i got in, it snowed! that is how cold it was. But i am pleased i got something out of the shoot.
I havent had the best luck recently with my shoots but hopefully spring will come quickly :)
more to follow x
Wee Skye on her morning walk. One minute after this shot was taken, a German Shepherd went for her and took a chunk out of her ear. Poor wee pup

Sputie burn twin waterfall near Brora. Water levels low and other waterfall was just a trickle. Strong wind blowing the trees and water..Liked the way the sunshine reflected the waterfall onto the pool.
Another lucky shot
One part of our forest floor is simply covered by thousands of these little gems.
I can sit on a deer trail and just admire them! Lucky me!
It's tough to get a decent shot of squirrly...
She has two speeds: non-stop or asleep.
Here she is this morning during our now typical crack of dawn walk.
Today OONAGH is in our lives for 3 weeks!
A little moss covered bunny only two inches tall, but he made me smile, so I brought him home.
Texture; just says 'paper' not sure who created it, but thank you.
Located near Searchlight Nevada, Wee Thump was declared a wilderness area in 2002. A hundred years earlier, Wee Thump was a ranch; you can see remnants of a corral and wind mill in the photo. The name Wee Thump comes from the Paiute language meaning “ancient ones” which refers to Joshua trees. Growing just half an inch per year on average, this particular stand is home to some of the oldest and largest Joshua trees on the planet.
Even though there were no incidents, a few minutes after this photo we learned how to put on the wrist strap.
I'm quite enjoying this new experiment. Micro-mosaic face starting with a few lines "drawn" w/sculpting medium, filled in with hand pulled filati, & topped with sea urchin spines.
