kicked off for me just a few days ago and it went off with the wildest party I have seen. I took about 800 photos of the dance floor action alone. I really dig the lighting and mood here...we had 12 minutes for these photos...12 minutes! This stuff is brutal....

I made this wedding notebook for a niece of a friend. A wedding notebook should hold all the wedding information - photographer, dress, fittings, seating arrangements, calendar for the coming months, ideas and business cards.
I covered it with patterned paper, added a ribbon, a chipboard flower and a book plate. Inside it is divided with folders that have tabs and pockets. It could use some ribbons on the spiral binding though...

The bride, usually seated on a low wooden stool called pidi is lifted by her brothers and is taken round the groom in seven complete circles. The significance is they are winded up securely to each other. After the circles are completed, still sitting high on the piri, the bride and the groom exchange garlands of fragrant flowers thrice. This is the first step in which they accept each other.

Day 204 - Wedding
A long day comes to an end ... This morning we have went to the Lüneburger Heide to a wedding, where Oliver has photographed. I was on a bridge watching the water wheel of a mill and caught a few sunrays with Annika. Otherwise, it has almost stormed and rained the whole day. After we have strengthened with Kerstin and Alexander at a delicious buffet, we went back home. Now we are all very tired and looking forward to tomorrow. Ein langer Tag geht zuende... Heute morgen sind wir in die Lüneburger Heide zu einer Hochzeit gefahren, wo Oliver fotografiert hat. Ich habe mit Annika auf einer Brücke das Wasserrad von einer Mühle beobachtet und ein paar Sonnenstrahlen eingefangen. Ansonsten hat es fast den ganzen Tag gestürmt und geregnet. Nachdem wir uns mit Kerstin und Alexander bei einem leckeren Buffet gestärkt haben, ging es dann wieder nach Hause. Jetzt sind wir alle sehr müde und freuen uns auf morgen. We seem to be really into hot pinks and greens this summer... thought I'd share this as we really don't post too many invitations besides on our website.
A wedding in India is always a big affair, and having the guests well fed is probably the most important event for the organisers. In south India, food is served on fresh green leaves from the banana plant. Here's one from a recent wedding I attended.
