Los Angeles Time Warner is being phased out by me after at least five fruitless contacts with Time Warner. They took over the Los Angeles franchise from Comcast early this year. Comcast had a web space allocation of 182 megabytes, I was using about 160 megabytes

Today, their website and email response is "You are offered 25 free megabytes of web space!" - this after they said "Your existing web pages will be transferred in their entirety." (email March 14, 2007 6:48 AM)

They say:

"Sorry for the inconvenience". I say I'm leaving after assuming that I would be locked into cable for the rest of my life. Now free to go DSL or any other ISP.

All my thousands of URLs originally on Comcast were deleted with no notice.

And on every visit, things like this "Personal Home Page Account Details - Temporarily Unavailable"

I will attempt to give a more complete story of what seems to be a poor move by Time Warner on my webpage at: edhiker.googlepages.com/

Have been out of the flickr radar for sometime (wow almost a month?!)

Reason #1: Spring cleaning and remodelling the old page.

Another 35mm half-frame picture from the same film as the Albert Embankment image also on this webpage.

I'm rather fond of Waterloo Station, and this rainy springtime picture of its main entrance is evocative to me in a way that one with blue skies and sunshine wouldn't have been.

Perhaps too, there's some subconscious link to those old 1940s black-and-white British films such as "Waterloo Bridge", "Brief Encounter" and "Waterloo Road".

Who knows, and whatever, I think rain suits London sometimes.

MacBain Farm Park located in Closter NJ. A really nice place to visit. Also you can take a walk around the park on a wooded trail that skirts a suburban neighborhood. You'll wouldn't know that your just 20 minutes or so from NYC. For more detailed info about the park go to the Borough of Closter Web Site. It's

More pictures of this area and around the rest of the town are coming here soon. What a great way to enjoy photograhy and get some great exercise at the same time. (Walking)

On June 18, 2008, my four year old, Jimmy fell into the Little Miami River. I jumped in to get him and the current got me too, and I grabbed onto a branch as my daughter Sydney stood on the bank and cried and screamed. I thought at that point that my beautiful little boy had died. I yelled for Sydney to run to the road for help and she did and flagged down Dan Dorff (Jimmy is sitting on his shoulders). Dan risked his life (and did what I couldn't do) and pulled Jimmy out of the river, called 911 and gave Jimmy, who was not breathing CPR saving his life. Officer Kyle Biblehausen was first on the scene and aided Dan with CPR and drove my daughter and I to Children's Hospital as Jimmy was being Air-Cared. Jimmy is very happy and healthy today and I owe it to all three heros in this picture.
