Shanghai - Bund Sightseeing Tunnel by Markus Bahlmann

The Bund Sightseeing Tunnel (外滩观光隧道) is a fast (and overpriced) connection between the Bund on the Puxi side and the Oriental Pearl Tower on the Pudong side.

Flashing multicolored lights and some "House Music" make the trip quite a multimedia experience, though some also have compared it to a 1970s disco...

(Except for taking pictures it's not worth the trip)

RMB 50¥ for a round trip. The entire trip does take about 5 minutes through the 646.7 meter long tunnel - not counting waiting time at the departure station. Pudong side the entrance is hard to find.

Mountain View (Mt Hood from Mt St Helens) by Darren Barnes

Shortly after sunrise with the lower flank of Mt St Helens in the foreground and Mt Hood in the distance; with one heck of a fog ocean in-between. What I really like about this shot is that Mt Hood is right about ~61 miles as the crow flies to the south. Not many better ways to spend a morning.
