The mystery spider waits on its mystery web. Can you help me solve the mystery?

This lizard was one of the real highlights of my trip. I like most lizards and think this one particularly interesting. I am disappointed at the background (a barbecue-type facility at a picnic area) but love the gecko.

The photo was taken at Dune 7 on a night (after dinner) search for nocturnal creatures. Only two of my group went, along with our leader and guide, and we saw very little overall, but this one sighting (made by Megs) made the entire evening a great success for me.

I was disappointed that the next night the intended night walk was cancelled due to dinner being late and I guess the lack of enthusiasm of the group for a very late night looking for such creatures.

These were not made by a spider or any insect. This variety of sempervivum produces its own webs.

On of the the bridges over Stony Brook (SP of the same name) there were 4 or 5 spider webs. I quickly leaned how difficult it is to photograph them when the background in mostLT cases is bright-white water. You need something dark (a post in this case) in back of the web. Well anyway, this is only my 2nd attempt at web photograpy and I hope I did OK.

Went over to Matt's house for a cookout and to hang out with friends. Took a few pictures while I was there!

New grill for Christmas! There's more to it than just the wheel, I promise.

This is the biggest web I've ever seen, and the little spider spinning it was speeding right along. It was about 6 feet in the air, hanging off a building.

Nature's jewelry store - foggy morning spider webs

Not everything is as it seems, not even this spider web. It may look perfect from a distance but when you look closer, you can tell that it’s not. I know that nothing’s ever perfect, but it’s okay. It’s what makes our world amazing, and it’s what makes us human.
