today is one of those days i wished i was a better photographer and had a better camera. there were so many little starry rainbows in this web. i wish i could have captured them all. :)
This seems to happen to me frequently lately. I intend to post this much earlier and then get side tracked by "better" fence photos....stacking up a bit, hence the post today. There is no doubt now that I am completely fortified by fence.
Storebæltsbroen - naturlig størrelse som set i et 35mm objektiv, svarende til normal optik på 24x36mm.
The bridge is 20 km away from my camera. So, I also made recordings for a multi-shot panorama, using a 300mm lens. I can't wait to show this in much higher resolution :-)

The foggy overnight conditions must have been perfect for spiders last night as there webs all over the place this morning
I went outside last night and I caught a glimpse of this giant spiderweb! The total structure is about 12 feet by 12 feet (~3 meters by ~3 meters for more advanced countries). She was still working on the web. I came back later and she was finished and waiting for her first victim! She's about 2.5cm long & meaty! if my mother sees this, she may never come visit again!
This fella was enormous! Found in the jungles of Aceh.

Ermine moth larvae. The webs are all over the tree with dozens of larvae in each web. The larvae are stripping the tree of its leaves but apparently this causes no long term damage to the tree. This is an adult moth found in the same place last year although last year the webs seemed to be more on the trunk and branches than amongst the leaves. www.flickr.com/photos/photospool/5874534816/
