A spider web that looks like the radio astronomy dish at Parkes. What came first - the web or the dish? Probably the work of a Silver Orb Weaver Leucauge granulata. Paruna Reserve, Como NSW Australia, March 2010.

Sign on former Weber’s bakery on Slauson in South LA. Too bad about the power lines, there isn't an angle available from the street without them.

This spider was wrapping up its prey , the web twinkles as the light reflects off tiny crystals of frost .

Scarborough, formerly its own city, was amalgamated into the City of Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 1998. It retains much of its own culture and charm. We have been offering Web Design Services in Scarborough for years.

first time for webs, never caught my eye before

This busy spider was actively building its web along a wooded nature trail. I watched the spider make several circumferential trips around the web laying down silk at the rate of about 1 revolution per minute.

..the OC in me decided to shoot and post the colored version of my dreamcatcher..cant leave it in b&w..hehe..

We walked to the bus stop in a foggy world of spiderwebs this morning, all perfectly outlined with mist. Beautiful and so interesting!

 

(That said, if you live in Madison and would like to be oblivious to the fact that our world is full of spiderwebs and the arachnids that produce them you may want to stay indoors this morning. The webs are *everywhere*!)
